This was the hotel with the most ”international” standard among all of those we were in Denmark. The room was well furnished and spacious (we had a family room with the third bed for our daughter). At the arrival they have a small happy bag for children with a few cakes, stickers and colouring leaves. The hotel has a very good location and is very comfortable and comfortable. After we had confronted with the rather low standards and the little cleaning of other hotels in Denmark, we were just a night here.

THe hotel supposedly dates back to the 16th century making it not just Ribe’s oldest, but probably one of the oldest in Scandinavia! SO you get to stay and sleep in a piece of history. And every nook and corner of the hotel oozes historic character - from murals and paintings to timber and writings. They even offered free Coffee, that you could help yourself to all day long, from a machine in the lobby. LOCATION: Fantastic location right in the main square in front of the stunning cathedral DINE + DRINK: Excellent Restaurant with an outdoor terrace almost hugging the Cathedral and the main square. ROOM: I stayed in Room 103, so this review is based on that; VIEW: Sweet view of the half-timbered houses and the street; SIZE: Very spacious room; AIR-CON: No Aircon but the room was cool enough; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part to put me to sleep; BATHROOM: Stand in shower that was quite small; TOILETRIES: Good cosmetics. FACILITIES: No Gym or Pool, just pure Viking Village chill! SERVICE: Friendly staff that took care of all our needs with a smile and made us feel pampered and well taken care of. Special Shout out to the restaurant staff who helped with all my special requirements HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free high-speed Wi-Fi (around 75 Mbps) that works well all over the property. And for an old heritage inn like this, I was shocked to see a Big Plasma TV screen dishing out dozens of channels spanning sports, news, music, movies and a wide variety of entertainment in multiple languages!

We recently spent four nights at this resort and were very satisfied with our stay. Our one bedroom flat was spacious, well-equipped and furnished with comfortable, modern furniture. The resort is within walking distance of Ribe and offers free parking in an area which is locked at night. There are free warm drinks available in the reception area, as well as a wide selection of tourist information brochures. There is a large playground area for children, with trampolines, model ships and other equipment.

AAlan WI stayed here for 1 night. I was visiting Esbjerg to watch football in the Danish Superliga. I travelled by train from Copenhagen Airport to Esbjerg with a change in Odense. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk away from the train station is the town centre. The receptionist was very polite and happy. However,it did take a long time for someone to come along and check me in. I recommend that they have a bell system for the customer to ring on arrival, if no one is in reception. The room and shower was quite small. It was sufficient for my requirements but I wasn't able to turn the shower on. Deslite trying, I gave up as i was worried about breaking it. The breakfast was ok. The choice was fine but the items did not seem to get replenished. I didn't see any member of staff refill any item on offer and I came down to breakfast at about 8.45am. There didn't seem to be enough staff about. When I left the hotel, the reception was empty and I had to wait. That wasn't a problem but if the hotel could have a call button it would help no end. I walked to the football stadium and back which is on the edge of town. It took me about 45 minutes. After the game I went to a local bar called Little London. It was a 5 minute walk away behind the Brittania Hotel down in the basement. It was a great find.
