A cozy small guesthouse with fun cabins. For our 2 nights everything was there and we felt very well. Our cabin was well heated and absolutely clean. The small bathroom is functional and the shower is good. There is a refrigerator and a water cooker. On the fourth, it is clearly finished, but it is completely enough for 2 nights. We also ordered breakfast buffet, which was possible for little money. Breakfast was very good and rich. Coffee, tea and juice were included. Our stay in Hodde Kro was very beautiful. Weis Stue began as an inn hotel in 1704, and when you check into the rooms above the restaurant, you step back into time. You open your room door with a huge, old-fashioned metal key, and set it down on an old iron room stove repurposed into a lamp table. Some of original wood wall panels are still in place, coated with hundreds of years of paint, and if the furniture isn’t original, it at least appears to be very old (Mattresses are new and fresh, however). Out the window is a wonderful view of the old Viking town’s main market square and historic Ribe cathedral, built in 1150. That said, this is not an inn for divas: the (clean, modern) bath and shower are shared, and noise insulation is non-existent. There are heavy wooden doors slamming all over the place, the restaurant downstairs is open until 10pm with outdoor seating in the summer, and the bells from the cathedral next door begin at 7:45 am. During the long Danish winter, the rooms are rather dark. That said, as a history lover I found it to be a fun and memorable experience. This inn is also a great place for solo travellers, as the inn has rooms for one at a slightly lower price. People with mobility problems may have trouble getting up the steep wooden stairs. I also recommend the restaurant downstairs, which somehow manages to be touristy but still very, very good. I like the fried fish platter with Danish rye bread, and in summer the restaurant also serves excellent homemade lemonade. Book a table during the busy tourist season if you want to eat there.

My family and I rented two rooms for one night. The cost reasonable - booked through *******. The hotel was very communicative prior to our arrival - I received a text with parking instructions and general FAQs, Each of the rooms were in the Annex. This is about 1 minute walk from hotel. Both rooms were spacious, had comfortable beds/pillows with nice bedding, good wifi and very nice bathrooms. Everything was clean. The room I stayed in, #9, though an attic room, had two windows which allowed for a refreshing cross breeze. The hotel is very central. We parked in the parking free parking area and walked into town. Or you can drive, unload and then return car. The breakfast was good: cheeses, eggs, bacon, breads, deli type meets, coffee, yogurts and granola. The staff nice and professional. Ribe is such an amazing little town with tons history. I wish we would have spent less time in Copenhagen and more in this town and at at Dagmar.

We recently spent four nights at this resort and were very satisfied with our stay. Our one bedroom flat was spacious, well-equipped and furnished with comfortable, modern furniture. The resort is within walking distance of Ribe and offers free parking in an area which is locked at night. There are free warm drinks available in the reception area, as well as a wide selection of tourist information brochures. There is a large playground area for children, with trampolines, model ships and other equipment.
