Great stay

Excellent stay. Staff were very friendly and helpful, room was in the recenrly remodeled section and were beautiful and clean. Pool area was in good shape, lots of pool towels available, sauna and hot tub were excellent as well.

The room was clean and cozy. It was so much fun to stay in a place that has been there from my childhood. People were helpfull and friendly. If I had to pick something disapointing was the water in the pool was cold, but the hot tub was awsome. Enjoyed my stay alot.

A classic 2 floor hotel with a facelift and a new 4 story Tower addition next door connected by a walkway. The Lakeview rooms are what make this a magical place to stay. As far as I can tell, room rates increase as you move from older hotel to the new Tower addition with the higher floors, priced more. We stayed in the lakeview room on the second floor of the older part. All rooms have been Updated with new beds, flooring and wall coverings. Very comfortable and roomy. We never used the small balcony and chairs due to the gnats at night. Our view of the lake made this a unique property. I’d definitely recommend staying here. Kayaks and bicycles are available for guest use. On-site restaurant was lovely, although acoustics could be improved as Very Noisy. The noise actually detracted from our dining experience over-looking the lake. We were eating after our late Sunday night arrival, about 9 pm, so restaurant wasn’t even full.

We were in the hotel's NEW wing and paid for their nicest room. It was brand new and very quiet. VERY clean, the view is simply gorgeous for a stopover stay in Escanaba. The pool photos online oversell the old part of the hotel. I would NOT have swam in that pool (hopefully up next on their remodel!). They have kayaks and bikes you can take out! We had breakfast up the road at Jacks... definitely get the cinnamon roll. The front desk help was helpful, nice, and easy to reach through texting!

I cannot say enough great things about this hotel. I traveled with my twin daughters and we stopped here for a night on the way to Traverse and returned on our way back from Traverse to Minnesota. I asked for the same room, and they honored my request, which was super sweet. The view is spectacular. We stayed in the fully renovated building on the 4th floor, and the view was amazing. More than the view, I enjoyed the beds. I always hope for a firm mattress when I stay at a hotel because it feels good on my back, and the beds at this hotel will not disappoint. The mattresses are firm but not hard. The pillows were firm as well, but with the perfect amount of plushness which I personally love. The toilet area is separate from the sink area in the bathroom, which is a nice functionality when three people need to get ready for the day. The first night here, we ate at the restaurant on site, Fresh Tavern, and the ambiance and the food quality were pretty spectacular. There is also a cute little ice cream shop right next to the hotel where you can grab dessert after dinner and walk along P road. Usually, I'm in a hurry to get up and out of the hotel well before checkout, but I'm still lying in bed and enjoying the beautiful view as I write this review. The hotel is still being renovated, and I can't wait to return when the renovation is complete. For me, it was a lovely experience.

I had the best experience with your staff member Cheyenne. She was so incredibly helpful and can’t tell you enough how appreciative I am that she was working at the time I arrived. Thank you Cheyenne for all the help with getting my concert tickets for that night.
