This is a port in East Iceland where you can wash clothes! Starting from the capital of west Iceland, we arrive here exactly at the midpoint of our trip. The clothes accumulated over the past few days can be washed and dried at night before going to bed. Pay 1600 Icelandic currency (Krona) and use whatever you want. The family I stayed at earlier charged 4,000 Icelandic coins for a wash.

Arrived at the hotel late, the front desk had put the key and the welcome envelope in the front desk. The old building (formerly an old bank) was remodeled. The room was very clean, and it was considered a relatively large room in Iceland.

The hotel was not what I expected, it was MUCH better!…from the pictures it might seem old but it’s not. I loved the modern art, the little concept and especially, the view… breathtaking. Only thing I would improve would be the dining experience. They only had buffet for about 6500 isk. If you want something light, there’s a restaurant at the gas station, the lady there is lovely and cooks hot sandwiches. They closed at 9pm but sometimes later.

No elevators stairs to go up to a room. Bank converted into a hotel looks like. No free breakfast included.

Many thanks! It was a very comfortable experience! I loved our room as we had so much space in there. Also the bathroom was very big and clean.
I highly recommend this hotel.
