Hotel Silken El Pilar Andalucia

Our 1st time in Estepona and what a beautiful boutique hotel!! The staff were always welcoming and smiling. Loved everyone but Samuel was a sweetheart 😍. Our room had duel aspect windows with 2 julliette balconies overlooking the stunning gardens of Plaza De Flores. The room was serviced every day . The choice of hot or cold breakfast was plentiful. The surrounding restaurants associated with the hotel catered for all cuisines. A short walk to the beautiful promenade and beach ⛱️. Local buskers with excellent varied talents entertained each evening . Lovely pedestrianised area with boutique shops and the must have ice cream 🍦 parlours. Delish!! Will definitely return. Many hotels in Spain often rate themselves as 4 stars but most seldom are. Hotel el silken on the other hand definitely is. From the location the staff and the rooms we can’t recommend it highly enough . The bed is one of the most comfortable I’ve slept in and the quality of the room was exceptional and nothing was too much trouble. A special mention must go to Ana on reception she was a credit to the hotel. Thankyou Ana you made our stay even better Steve and Nicola 107 .

There are so many positive things to say about this hotel and it could have been a 5/5 but for one thing. The location is amazing, right in the heart of the town and in the square, where there seems to always be a great hustle and bustle. The room was really comfortable, we had a suite (204) which was spacious with 5 double windows and small balconies. The hotel is lovely and every member of staff were really nice too (apart from one person, I’ll come back to in a bit) Samuel was especially helpful. A small tip for the hotel, they could do with letting guests know what bars and restaurants they have, as we didn’t find the wine bar until an hour before we left and it was tucked away out of sight. So why the 4/5? One lady on reception one day we were there, was surly and abrupt, with everyone, no engagement as you came and left and a very clipped manner. When I requested something to the room that would be a simple thing in any hotel, a small amount of milk, she felt the need to call the room, tell me they didn’t bring things like that and that as a one-off she would do it, but effectively berated me for asking!!! The hotel needs to address her attitude towards the guests!

A beautiful property in the “heart of the city”. While parking must be found at locations some distance from the hotel, it did not take away from our very positive stay. Excellent value for price - I would stay at this property again in a heart-beat !

The rooftop terrace bar is the best place for pre dinner cocktails/drinks with views across the city. Opens at c.5pm but can get pretty busy between 6.30/7.30pm if the weather is fair. Staff and service are very good with drinks being served straight from your chosen bottle, so you can see what you are getting. A small selection of tapas is available in this bar, but there is also a lower terrace restaurant with views across one aspect of the city). Not very large, so probably best to book for that. Lovely venue and would recommend at least one visit!

Visited the rooftop bar whilst in the area. Really lovely bar with gorgeous views of the city, real trendy vibe to the bar. Fantastic and friendly staff, made a real fuss of my baby which she loved. Fab cocktails! Would recommend :) Only downfall was that it didn't open until 5pm and the toilets were on ground floor in lobby. Other than that, great!

Lovely, friendly welcome on arrival and all staff were friendly throughout our stay. It is a clean and comfortable hotel. Complimentary water bottle was restocked daily as well as other amenities as they were used. Location is excellent within the old town, close to a large choice of restaurants and bars. Only a few mins stroll to seafront and long promenade. A longer walk was possible beyond with the recent coastal path development. Some street noise can be heard within hotel room from the streets and cafes and restaurants but we enjoyed hearing this babble of life and everything had all closed down and gone quiet by 11pm/midnight. A lovely town and hotel that we would revisit.
