Das Hotel liegt ruhig, abseits der Touri Orte in der Umgebung. Ein langer Strand lädt zum Strandwandern ein. Resort gesichtert durch einen Security-Angestellten am Eingang. Schöner Garten mit vielen Blumen, Vögel. Zwei Pools, leider nicht so sauber. Wir hatten einen Bungalow mit Blick aufs Meer. Den Blick aufs Meer konnten wir mit einem Vorhang verhängen - was gut war, da der Strand öffentlich ist. Schöner Bungalow - Standard für die Preisklasse. Frühstück war unterschiedlich (obwohl im Preis inbegriffen) - einmal mit Extras, einmal ohne. Dinner überteuert. Obwohl es eine kleine Mall in der Nähe gibt geht der Betreiber (zu recht) davon aus, dass viele abends nicht mehr Autofahren möchten.

Our experience was great, will definitely recommend. The service, the place and the food is awesome! The villas are very private specially to go relax and enjoy nature! Everyone was very nice and the food quality is great!

Wer einfach mal durchatmen-, die Seele baumeln lassen will, es einfach mal gemütlich haben will, ist hier genau richtig. Es erwartet einem eine sehr schöne, mit viel Liebe gepflegte, ruhig gelegene Anlage, alles sehr sauber. Die Anlage wird rund um die Uhr bewacht, die Zufahrt zum Gratisparkplatz betreut.Der Beachfront-Bungalow bot alle Annehmlichkeiten, welche man sich wünschen konnte. Grosszügig eingerichtet, schöne Nasszelle, Kingsize-Doppelbett mit gutem Bettzeug, funktionelle Klimaanlage. Sehr schöne, direkte Sicht auf den pazifischen Ozean. Auf dem Tischchen ein wundervolles Blumenarrangement und sehr feine, frische Früchte. Gut funktionierendes gratis WLAN. Sehr schöner Pool- und Wellnessbereich, welcher mittels Palmen gut beschattet war. Das hoteleigene Restaurant bot ein grosszügiges, feines Angebot an Köstlichkeiten an. Zum Nachtessen herrliches Ambiente, dezente Beleuchtung, Meer rauschen, super! Ein langer, sauberer Sandstrand lädt zum abendlichen Spaziergang ein, Abend für Abend ein herrlicher Sonnenuntergang. Aufpassen auf die Gezeiten. Wegen- oder Dank des Wellenganges ist hier kein Massentourismus zu verzeichnen. Es sind weder herumfahrenden Boote, Rettungsboote, noch eine Strandaufsicht vorhanden. Das Meer ist immer aufgewühlt, lud trotzdem zum Baden ein, Wassertemperatur gefühlt 28 Grad Celsius. Aber eben, aufpassen auf die Strömung. An der nahegelegenen Route 34 befinden sich weitere zahlreiche Restaurants und Pizzerias.

Grounds were spectacular, flowers, green grass, palm trees, right on the beach. Swimming at high-tide was safe and fun.
The pool was enjoyable and rooms were open and spacious. The grounds keeper even pointed out a family of sloths living in trees outside our room. Next time we'll stay a week!

I have been to Alma Hotel several times for breakfast and lunch and the food was delicious so my BFF and I decided to have a girls night and stay at the hotel. We were quite disappointed. I don't know if they have a new chef but the food was not nearly as good as it used to be. The room was lovely and well maintained. It was very hot outside and my friend and I were really looking forward to swimming in their beautiful pools but the water was very warm - like a jacuzzi. Really awful. I spoke to the front desk about it but they made a lot of excuses. When I asked for some sort of compensation as the pool is a huge part of their hotel and why we were there, they credited me 35.00 on a total bill of $700.00. We toured another hotel down the street and their pool was cool and so nice. Sadly, last time for me at Alma.

Beachfront gem, relatively close to San Jose. Loved the relaxed atmosphere and the pet friendly aspect and the property. Great for kids.

We enjoyed so much our stay at Alma del Pacifico. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We booked the Deluxe village with ocean view and private pool. Our room was pristine and spacious. The breakfast was great with so many healthy and vegan options to choose from. If you want to take surfing lessons please contact Alfredo. He was very knowledgeable, professional, and kind at all times. You’ll find him close to the restaurant by the beach. What I loved the most about Alma is that it wasn’t crowded at all. I even felt that I had the whole beautiful beach only for my family and myself. If I go back to CR, there’s no doubt that I’ll be visiting Alma once again!

Excellent atmosphere however with breakfast far from ideal. Wonderful resort, with wonderful beach. One of the rooms used for the 4 members of my family had 2 king size beds and they did not feel confortable enough. Location close to amenities is also a plus.
