Castle Mountain Lodge

We have been staying at Castle Mountain Lodge for years and have always had a great time. Sadly, that relationship came to an end due to an (obviously) unexpected medical emergency, which forced us to cancel our trip and "forced" them to enforce their unconscionable cancelation policy. Buyer beware!

Colorado 2026 Castle Mountain Lodge This is my home away from home. 🏡 I’ve been coming to Castle Mountain Lodge for so many years, I’ve lost count. Since the 1990s at least. It’s my favorite place to come and recharge. Through the years, my husband, deceased since 2019, and I brought our two grandchildren as often as possible, to make them love this area as much as we did. It worked. They are 25 and 21 years old now and love coming here. This trip was to bring my granddaughter and her boyfriend. It’s his first trip to the mountains. At present, they are hiking in RMNP at Bear Lake even though the wind is howling at 35 to 64 mph. The cabin we prefer is River Castle 1, A1, B1 which has three bedrooms with three bathrooms. It has everything any accommodation should have, equipped completely for family gatherings. Through the years, we’ve made friends with the owners, managers and staff. They take care of all our needs and are the friendliest people on earth. The Fall River runs beside the grounds and wildlife strolls by year round. I’ve been here almost every month of the year and have never been disappointed. Estes Park and RMNP are special places that offer great fun, activities and excitement. I love this place and invite everyone to come find out about my home away from home. Th rooms were very nice and clean, loved the view it was so beautiful, the entrance is a great touch to ensure no one misses it

Our stay was perfect! The view, staff, and everything was awesome, my only thing was the towels weren’t white, they had a brown hue to them, which made me a little nervous to use! Other than that SO recommend staying here. A must do when in the city.

Great staff, so friendly and helpful. They provided awesome cinnamon rolls on Sunday morning. That gets you a 5 star rating.

Amazing. Front desk staff was beyond phenomenal. Has a super cool train track inside it which was functional. Organized a cute little Santa shop and kids were greeted by Santa’s elfs :) tons of turkeys roam the property in the morning.

Castle Mountain Lodge was a great place to stay. We stayed in the Castle Glen cabin over Christmas week and really enjoyed our time. Even without snow or elk sightings, the cabin was cozy, comfortable, and perfect for a relaxing mountain getaway. The location is quiet but still close to town, and everything was exactly as expected. Staff was friendly and helpful, and we had fresh wood each day. We had a fun stay and would absolutely come back again.

Such a great team at Castle Mountain Lodge! Everyone was helpful, courtesy and kind. Our cabin was stocked with everything you could possibly need. Definitely will be going back again soon.

Our stay at Castle Mountain Lodge was just so enjoyable! We loved the room, the different buildings in the property. The entry bridge that was lit up with beautiful white lights, a postcard scene for sure! The river partly frozen nearby. Just beautiful and the surrounding area was awesome! The people who greeted us in the office, very friendly! Cookies were available or hot beverages. Nice little shop for souvenirs. Just a very lovely stay.
