Red Roof Inn Etowah – Athens, TN

The mattress was horribly hard. Both of them. The heater rattled loudly all night long. The shower curtain was broken on both ends.

This has to be the worst hotel stay I’ve stayed in, in my life the front desk person from the time I checked in was very rude I went to check in and he was upset because I booked thru a travel agent… I was driving and this is the only hotel in this small rinky town as is and the guy said if you don’t like I refund you and you leave mind you I was just trying to check in ai wasn’t even being rude. Then we get to the rook I should have just taken the refund there was hair in the bath tub and the bathroom floor they sent house keeping up and they cleaned it but that’s not the point , the air condition didn’t work the guy came in and rigged the plug for it to turn on See picture below, Next my basketball team players was trying to put their food in the mini fridge and there was a four loko opened can in the refrigerator see picture below I went to the front desk and told the man all these things he told me if I didn’t like the room to check out and find somewhere else to stay I was like are you kidding me. Last but not least then the elevator I pushed 3 to go up to my room and the elevator went back down to the main floor. My team was watching the UT game in the lobby and the front desk told me to take the girls to my room and be silent I started looking for Ashton because I knew I was being punked.

The area was quiet and had good dining opportunities. The facility was clean. Only issue was security of the facility. Any non guests have access to enter at anytime. Not all doors are secured with room key entery. One door in tge east stairway didn't even lock nor secured at any time !

Met my employment needs. Bring a pillow! Great rates

It was quiet but thr check in was a bit difficult, may have been a new employee.

For the most part the room was fine, there was hair clumps in the shower, the bed was very uncomfortable and the sheets did not fit the bed, it was like they put Queen sheets on the king bed. For the price and what we needed it for (in at 1130pm out in the morning) was fine.

The single room what very large and comfortable.

Room was clean and Staff was Friendly
