Have no idea what people find wrong with this hotel, perfect as only 5 min walk to the dock area with all the bars and restaurants and a couple of small supermarkets, please remember this is not the mainland so no large supermarkets, but prices still good. Back to the hotel the Staff were great and friendly, rooms perfect, remember your only sleeping here it’s not your home. Cleaned every day and spotless, balcony is small but lovely to sit out on. There was a good size fridge and the best supply I’ve ever had off hot water for washing anytime of the day lovely hot water. Only one little thing, they do not have a lift, they have a small internal luggage lift but not to be used by guests. There are a lot of stairs, from the front of the hotel up to reception is a large flight of steep steps. But it’s a hilly island so you won’t find a lot of flat land, if you’re not great on your feet or don’t like steps this might not be the right island for you. The island is amazing but only has one issue, getting around, there is no public transport at all, there are taxis but super expensive airport to this hotel €60 I understand why as it’s not a easy island to get round. I would suggest hiring a car the roads are very good, but don’t trust google maps. Plenty of hire car firms, mine met me off my flight the day I arrived. You could go local and hire a moped also, very popular. So to sum it up great island, great people and great hotel. Enjoy.

Nice building. Clean, friendly staff helped us with how to get luggage in and out in the early morning to catch ferry. Stayed in "petite" unit which was good for our one night stay to catch an early ferry. Convenient to port and all of the restaurants, etc. on port.

Be cautious if you are booking this hotel with a non refundable rate. We had to fly back to the states for a serious medical emergency and canceled a week in advance. The hotel was unsympathetic and refused to issue a refund.

The hotel is clean. Staff was friendly. Having a safe and small fridge in the room was very nice Location convenient to the port. Balkony on our first floor room was literary on the street and there is no privacy next room balkony is right next to us separated by a low gate Our 2 beds room was crowded with the two beds everything was bear minimum desk too small to use two tea bags electric plug hard to use with coffee maker taking all the space on the same tiny desk poor quality soups lack of design or thought just bear minimum feels like a dorm Breakfast is overpriced not worth it Souna is 30 euros per person Pictures look better than the reality Just OK

This place is trash. I had a family emergency and had to cancel my trip there with my son for April 2025 and they would not reimburse me. I will never stay here in the future. They have plenty of time to re book the room as my stay was over a month away, and they still won't provide a rewind. I think that's unacceptable and bad business. I encourage anyone thinking about staying here to the read the reviews on *******. Lots of okayish reviews claiming the amenities and cleanliness are not up to par. God forbid you have an emergency and can't make your trip. You will lose your money. Beware!

My favorite island, dream vacation, and an accessible place to stay. With an accessible pool and breakfast, which is very important, the rooms are beautiful and clean, and the staff is very willing to answer your questions of any type. Please take me back

Atheras was a nice little hotel, but all the amentities are not actually available. They do not have a restaurant that is open, nor a bar. They only offer the paid breakfast in the morning. The elevator is not for people, but luggage only, and the only way to get into the hotel is up stairs, which was difficult for my mom. The pool is actually quite small. Much of the hotel seemed as though it is not used in a long time. The jacuzzi and sauna are only available if you pay for them, and they have to give them notice so they can heat them up. We got a massage through the spa and our hair was completely covered in oil. The lady was nice, but the massage wasn't anything special. We did book ahead of time for the massage. The night lady was very helpful, but the lady during the day seemed like we were bothering her when we asked for directions or help. The hotel is at the bottom of a steep hill, so don't follow Google maps to get there. You will need to go around by the pier/plaza and then come from that direction. I walked the area to figure out the little streets to get to the parking, but there was plenty. The beds were comfortable and the air conditioning worked. We were given only a sheet, but there were blankets available in the closet. There was no good swimming in the ocean readily available, it was down a little ways as the port took up most of the space nearby. There were not many restaurant options either. It is a very small town. Not much for tourists.

The room was beautifully decorated and very clean. The staff was very nice and welcoming especially Irene! Great location. The place is steps away from the main square and restaurants and Walking distance to the port. My only complaint was the steep climb to the reception desk.
