Colorado B&B

This B and B is conveniently located to the hiking and dining in the area in a lovely mountain setting. It is surrounded by wildlife and during our visit, wildflowers and busy hummingbirds. Our hosts were friendly, helpful and accommodating.

Fantastic stay here with great mountain views, peaceful solitude and lovely hosts!

Pretty setting and nice views. But we had to wait over an hour to get into the place because the proprietor was away shopping even though we arrived after check-in time. Everything somewhat dated. The four rooms share a single bathroom upstairs, albeit there is another downstairs (definitely not COVID friendly from that standpoint). Nothing is to put in the toilets because it's on a septic, including toilet paper (we have had houses with septic tanks; they make toilet paper for them, and the tanks need to be periodically emptied anyway. All bathroom paper products are thus to be put in the trash (and it's a shared bathroom). Probably the big downside is there is no way to lock your room door when you leave for the day so people in the other three rooms have total access to your room. Surprised you can get away with that on Air B&B, but, well, it's Air B&B. Hopefully they have since put locks on the bedroom doors that can be locked while you're away enjoying Evergreen. We did get our money back (we did not stay there and found another place at 8 in the evening; however, it was quite a drill going back and forth with Air B&B (the people we dealt with were not friendly and very pro-proprietor.
