Great location and lovely room. The only issue I have is that the housekeeping team knocked early on the door both days waking us up. I suggest on the last night of the stay the housekeeping team wait until the residents have checked out before wanting to gain access to the room.

Our daughter chose this hotel at random. She wanted to celebrate her 21st in a country hotel, have some drinks and a lovely meal with family. From the moment Alex checked us in we just knew all was well. He was so welcoming and totally embraced us nervous parents wanting to make the stay special. We had dealings with the hotel before we arrived and all our requests were sorted. The bedrooms are all different. We had three, and they were really quirky, but clean and really comfortable. Saturday night dinner for 6 on the round table by the window was exceptional.

Very friendly staff, very nice standard double room, nice design, great shower and comfy bed. Pub is great for beers and food and Fairford very good base to explore.

The room was not up to scratch. Cobwebs, dirty dressing table, stained carpets, toothpaste and hair in sink and to top it off brown stains on wall next to toilet. I am thankful I bought antibacterial wipes with me! For the price I expect better.

The internet presence is far better than the actual property. The Junior Suite was filthy, the bathroom floor putrid.
Booked a table for dinner at 8pm, the staff sat us but then never returned to the table. Went to the bar to order some drinks which were then served and at 8:10 the staff came to the table and asked us to quickly order as the kitchen was closing. Food was ok but nothing special. At 9:50 the staff brought us the bill and asked to settle it as they would be closing at 10pm. Paid the bill and the staff stood at the table and asked that we leave as they are closing, it was 9:55 and he told us „we are closing right now“.
When mentioning this at check-out, the staff at the reception should no interest at all.
Was looking forward to visiting however was very disappointed and will not return or recommend this place.
