Getting away from Louisianas Mardi Gras scene. Atmosphere is always great. Wonderful location and Fairhope is a gem!

Beautiful setting, family friendly as well as a great couples get away. As soon as we pulled up we were greeted by Jordan who was very helpful and assisted up greatly. The food was awesome; our waitress, Veronica, and all other staff were friendly, cordial, and added to a wonderful stay.

It has been years since we visited his property and it has undergone a renovation and switch from a Marriott to an autograph collection hotel. But the same southern charm still abounds at every turn. We greeted quickly and checked into our room in an expedient and southern manner with a great description of all the amenities the hotel has to offer. He chose a diner first night in Bayside. The more casual restaurant had a wonderful tuna bowl and fish tacos to dine on the service was nice and friendly. We lounged by the pool, opting to check out a cabana for a reasonable fee and we’re delighted to see the cabana. Had a fruit platter in it when we arrived bottled water and several other small amenities. We dined that night in the Southern Root restaurant had an amazing experience, dining on scallops, crabcakes, and fantastic ribeye steak. The server Christian was excellent at his craft and it was greatly appreciated. The entire entire property was exceptionally clean and well manicured. Our room had a balcony overlooking the marina and the bay and was very easy to get from building to building activity activity. There is something really special about this and the way you feel the entire time on the property. Cannot see enough good things about it

First a big shout out to the staff at this huge, beautiful resort surrounded by the Mobil Bay and lush greens, meticulously manicured by the hard working people who run this place. Everyone was so friendly, from the front desk, to the woman riding around in her golf cart watering all the planters that dotted the landscape. My wife and I are trying to see all 50 states & Alabama was number 39 Our stay was so relaxing because of people like Luke and Tyler at the restaurant bars, Alexia, Star & Thejesh at the bike rental spot, all of the Zacks (There were at least 4!) in particular Zack by the pool who kept me well hydrated with water & local beers, and a huge tip of the hat to the maintenance man named Marcus who literally got in the pool to put a ladder together & had to hold his breath for a few minutes while he screwed in the steps to a ladder that had broken. Bravo to all of you & the few that I did not catch the names of. The restaurants, bars & activities were enough to keep us on property, but do venture out to nearby Mobil, Faithope, & Dauphine because there really is a LOT to do. I would come back here because the spa, (Kristy (?) I think was her name did an awesome massage) the pool, the hut tubs, the sunsets, the history, the dinning & the comfortable huge room.

Hotel generic and cranks out events. When we visited the hotel had 3 weddings going on. Staff was overwhelmed and did keep apologizing. We were expecting lush grounds but areas needed TLC from too many guests. Food was average like an event venue.

Spent two nights at Grand Hotel. We had a very quiet room on the end of a relatively new building. Room was luxurious. We had a great spa afternoon before checking in (closed the full day we were there). Food was excellent, and the grounds were magnificent- full of ancient live oaks with Spanish moss, lovely gardens, etc. Staff was super gracious- real southern hospitality. Will come back here.

We stayed for 3 days to attend a Pilots convention. The hotel felt vaguely familiar. I looked back at my TA reviews. I was right. We'd stayed back in 2012. I was not impressed at that time. The only thing I was impressed with was the staff. This hasn't changed. Everyone, and I mean every staff member, was outstanding and greeted us with a smile. Every event the hotel set up for our convention was flawless. Our room, in the spa building, 3411 was very nice. Large, updated King with a balcony overlooking a water feature and in the distance, the pools. Both the gym and spa were in our building. It was a short walk to the main building where we met for meals and classes. Our bedding and mattress was perfect and the water pressure was good and hot. Our room was quiet, which I asked for. We attended high tea at 4 pm. Unfortunately, it was "spring break" at this hotel. Very crowded with families and children. Same with the pool area. However, there were plenty of places to walk and use the swings overlooking the bay. We loved the fire pits and spent both nights after dinner having a drink outside. I don't remember those fire pits back in 2012. One event was a cocktail party and dinner at Juelp Point. It was very windy, but the sunset made up for it. This hotel is a very old historic gem. The best thing about it is it's location on the bay and the beautiful canopy of trees everywhere. I hope Marriott continues upgrading the rooms and common areas. I would recommend this place for your convention or wedding or just a couples weekend.
