Hideaway of Rotorua

Very good, nice place. Facilities are good

Booked 7nts for my family of 5. We loved the look of the playground and that the room had aircon, but the positives end there. Photos on the listing show the twin beds alone, and then the sofa and living/kitchen area alone, does not show you that this is all squished into the same tiny space - what we got vs what we thought we were getting was very misleading. When we tried to speak to the manager about this he got defensive, and when we asked for another room, he denied this option, saying we would have to make a new booking and pay the full amount, rather than pay the difference. Due to this, we complained to *******; refund or reimbursement was denied. Manager cornered me in the laundry the next day and said we could have asked for another room which I said we already did before we complained, then he brushed over it saying that 3D rendering had been available of the room, which don't show on the phone app where I booked, so not sure if it's true. The place was grimey and did not feel clean. Cracked toilet seat and tub, sticky dining table even after trying to clean it myself, sheets were itchy, and dirty carpets that walking without shoes on made the soles of my feet black. After just 2nts into our booking, we vacated - ultimately a very expensive mistake. Not sure how this place got so many positive reviews, but I suggest that you spend your money wisely, and avoid this place at all costs. Their bookings are non-refundable for a reason!

Was the perfect spot for our one nighter - grounds were cute as were the animals. Super handy to the life, which is why I chose the place, and stoked that we did. Thank you.

Hideaway motel was a great family friendly and fun place to stay. Nicely set just out of Rotorua it was safe for our 3 year old to run around and the room itself was pretty nice. A small amount of maintenance would be good in the room but all up a great place to stay

My partner and I stayed here last weekend nothing bad to say about this place would def stay here again! Nice to be not too close to town and heaps of places to park. Room was very clean and tidy, massive shower, big bed and a nice view from the room.

We stayed in the older or the two rows of rooms, however, it was still a pleasant space. Their was a main living/ sleeping space with 2 single beds and a sofa bed, together with the kitchen & dining area. Then there was a separate bedroom which has to be walked through by everyone to use the toilet, which was a bit strange. The rooms were clean, and you can visit the resident alpacas, sheep, rabbits which live across from the rooms. Its only a short drive into town, and its very close to some of the attractions like Skyline Rotorua. We would stay here again.

A short distance from the city centre, the motel is quiet despite being on a busy entrance to the city. Our Unit was tidy and clean. The bed was very comfortable, great bathroom facilities with a strong walk-in shower . All staff were friendly and approachable. Reasonably priced. We would definitely stay there again.
