We stayed two nights at the Wensum Lodge Hotel, staff were very friendly, we had rooms 10 and 11, both of which were clean and comfortable, room 10 had a fridge, Our room 11 was on the first floor, overlooking the rear of some private accommodation, Although not very pretty it didn't bother us as we were only using the room to sleep in.The bathroom had recently been refurbished by the look of it, the shower was excellent, We opted for cooked breakfasts on both days, which were more than ample, cereal and toast, fruit juice, tea and coffee, also available, Can't complain about anything, Only thing that might be a problem if hotel is full, could be car parking, There isn't a great deal of parking space available, Fine when we were there, as only a couple of other guests staying. The hotel is set beside a river, which is nice to sit by and have a few drinks.

A lovely location on the mill stream, easy to find and lovely rooms with newly renovated bathroom, although my room needed a new toilet seat or it needed to be fixed and the sink was quite small. Shower was lovely. Difficult to fill the kettle for a cup of tea as it wouldn't fit easily under the tap. Rate was very reasonable. Only downside was that the evening menu was very limited and not very inspiring, hotel only appeared to be open for guests and therefore was very quiet and the bar closed when no one was using it. We went out for a meal, came back hoping to watch football and have a drink in the bar, but everything was closed, not what we expected at 8.30 in the evening. Breakfast was however lovely and staff very attentive.

I am staying at this hotel as temporary accomadation since I have,arrived great welcome lovely friendly staff Jason and wife amazing nice clean room great service all issues are answered and beyond good menu,lovely place to stay

The room was lovely and clean however, we booked a room to include breakfast. We received an email the week before to say that there would be no bar or breakfast, however we weren’t offered a discounted rate. There was a Wetherspoons a few minutes walk away. There was also a terrible smell throughout the hotel although not in the room thank goodness. As mentioned, the room was spotless, the location fantastic for the centre of fakenham , plenty of free parking and a lovely warm welcome.

Stayed for 2 nights. Jason and his staff were really hospitable. Rooms were well equipped. Plenty of tea and coffee and water. Breakfast was prepared to order and was fresh and extremely tasty. Ideal location for thursford show. Will definitely go back.

Was housed there, from may-November. 2021. It was an absolute den of inequity. From the moment I arrived, I’d not been around any sort of ***** before, but it was going on everywhere to the extent room fire alarms were covered up. It clearly says no smoking but the owner chose to totally ignore it all, if I complained he’d threaten to throw me out. He tolerated people coming and going slamming doors at all hours of the night and some very scary violent noises and people. He took a dislike to me after this and refused to communicate altogether. No wi fi was the least of my troubles. The owner sulks if you pull him up on anything. The rooms were never updated and he even threatened to charge me for linen despite a £20 a week surcharge. If ***** are your thing in a very disturbances part of fakenham you’d love it.
