Three nights and fours days in the incredibly competent hands of our brother and sister outfitter guides. They were raised on the edge of this lake. They love the land, the waters, the wild life, flora and fauna of this Backwaters paradise. They love life. Best wilderness vacation we have ever had and we have had many all over the world.

It has been a dream of mine to paddle the beautiful Minnesota Boundary Waters and that dream came true this year with the wonderful Moose Track Adventures. Every interaction, beginning with Joan was professional and yet warm and personal. We chose a trip that met our needs perfectly. It was a five day adventure and our guide was Gavin who was patient, helpful, and very knowledgeable. There is no way that we could have done this without a guide. The equipment that we were provided with was top notch. The canoe was light and top of the line. The tents and sleeping bags were comfortable. We are vegan and the company accommodated us. We experienced such beauty and calm completely immersed in nature. If paddling the boundary waters, look no further than Moose Track Adventures.

Great time had by the family in Otter Den. Outstanding cabin. Can't wait to see you Sept 2023. The owners could not be more pleasant. ( I won't forget the sharp cheddar) The Rudnick and Wallace families from Wisconsin. Thanks

Claire gave us a great full-day guided canoe tour of the Boundary Waters. The route was perfect — very scenic (several different rivers and lakes), lots of wildlife (e.g., eagles, beavers, and even a baby loon), and short, interesting portages. We appreciated everyone, including Joan and Jim, accommodating us on such short notice, as we had called only the night before to ask about availability. The family seems very knowledgeable about the area and passionate about their clients. Thank you!

We had a great fishing trip booked through Joan at Moose Track Adventures. We stayed in a sparkling clean cabin [Bald Eagle] with a nice kitchen and air conditioning. There was both a fishing dock a few steps from the front door, and also a nice view of the lake from the picture window. The fishing with their very experienced and friendly guides was overall good and a little bit of everything. One epic great walleye trip, one good trip, and one below average day [based upon extremely high winds, but not unexpected in the far north]. Great customer service and recommended.

Just spent 5 days and 4 nights paddling the BWCA with Moose Track Adventures. Can’t say enough good things about this Outfitter. From the very first phone call just to get information, to our farewells after our trip, this company was professional, experienced, easy to work with, and just a whole lot of fun! They guided us every step of the way, literally! From getting our permit from recreation.gov months ahead of the trip to the final paddle across Farm Lake, they made sure we did things right. They are a full service outfitter that covers it all. The equipment they use is top of the line. I never knew sleeping in a tent could be so comfortable! The canoes were stable even with all the gear packed in them. (And there was a lot of gear.) Food packs were heavy. Our personal packs also held our tent, sleeping pads and bags, chairs and personal items. Some were heavier than others. But it all fits. Our guide, Gavin, and his assistant, Claire, were amazing. From getting us across the water to locating the portages (which we couldn’t even see), to portaging the canoes and packs (yes, we carried packs too, but not canoes) to finding the campsites, cooking our meals and watching weather reports, they exceeded our expectations. They gathered firewood, cleaned the fish we caught for dinner, filtered our water, and made sure we were all safe. It was an amazing trip! I don’t even know how to describe it. The challenge, the emptiness of the area, the quietness, the great expanse that is the BWCA, are all part of what makes it an extraordinary adventure that will be remembered forever. The awesome travelling companions we had (there were 6 of us in our group) added to the fun and made it a better trip. And our two very special guides, Gavin and Claire - we could never have done it without them. They are two very special young adults who made the trip an adventure and brought us all home safely. If you have never been in the BWCA, don’t go it alone. This outfitter takes the worry out of the trip so you can just enjoy it!
