Staff: Plenty of staff but mechanics operate, not friendly Room: Fairly clean, but the design of the shower screen is strange, each side is tied to the left, and a lot of water splashes out of the shower during the shower Restaurant Food: Average

We stayed at this spa hotel these last 4 days for our anniversary and to be quite honest it was probably the worst ‘spa’ hotel we’ve stayed in. All the staff were so friendly however so I cannot fault them they were exceptional and made the stay worth while. Firstly, on arrival of this hotel the car park is very tight and bizarre. Got given our room key and we did pay for a cheaper hotel room which bearing in mind it was still almost a grand for 4 nights and our room was on the smaller side and with a small bathroom. The room was over looking a work site which was noisy in the mornings so couldn’t relax and have a lie in. The corridors and the rooms were like a sauna so hot. We had our room windows open the whole time we stayed and on our last day the room was just starting to be at a good cool temperature. The room has no fridge either which in summer how are you suppose to keep drinks cold if your room is that hot it’s warming up the drinks we bought. Breakfast was okay the pastries from the buffet style part were stale. People who were getting seated after us were getting served their breakfast before we had even ordered our food they kind of missed a few tables out. I sent in a request for a massage twice and didn’t hear back from them at all so I could get a massage at a ‘spa hotel’ bearing in mind you still have to pay £80 odd pound on top of the money you’ve spend on a room. Also you have to book a time slot for the hydro pool and only get 2 hours to relax in there. My partner used the gym and said it was very busy. The hotel is in such a lovely location right across from the beach and looks beautiful from the outside so it would be a phenomenal hotel if the parts inside the hotel was improved.

The hotel and spa are excellent. The room was clean, large and extremely comfortable beds. One comment though could a grab handle be put in the bath/ shower area. Food super, the sharing dessert was enormous! The young staff were efficient, friendly, and well turned out.

We picked this as an anniversary trip on a road trip around the south west. Lovely resort, huge room and bathroom with outside space. Generally friendly staff, Maxwell and Caitlin in particular gave excellent service. Lovely spa, outdoor jacuzzi with cocktails. Great location for beach.

St Michaels Resort is a fabulous place to stay! It has everything for everybody of all ages to enjoy. The "Crew" are young, enthusiastic, professional and very helpful. The facilities are wonderful, comfortable rooms, spacious lounge and bar area, A swimming pool & gym offering numerous classes like yoga, pilates, or something more energetic if you wish! Plenty of water sports on the nearby Gyllinvase beach. Beautifully tended gardens where you can just sit and enjoy the surroundings. The Restaurant serves breakfast & dinner with views over the gardens and beach beyond, but if you want something more casual, the "Nourish" Eatery serves excellent freshly made pizzas and salads etc all day, no need to book, which suited us perfectly. The Hydrotherapy Spa is a "must do" experience, with its fabulous indoor hydrotherapy pool, various indulgent saunas, heated beds, outdoor hot tub & sauna, cold plunge pool, all set in lovely gardens with sun beds to relax with a glass of bubbles! The location is within easy walking distance from Falmouth town with all its unique shops/ cafes etc, and Maritime Museum which is well worth visiting. Gyllinvase beach and a short coastal walk to Swanpool beach are within 5-10 minutes from the hotel, all with excellent beachside cafes and restaurants.

From our arrival for a 3 night stay! We felt at home. Staff were friendly and chatty. The meals were of good quality and choice. Use of the "health center"was included in the offer.

The location is excellent but upon arrival it was difficult to find parking while we checked in and reception was poorly signposted. Once checked in we were told about available parking and where it was located. The room was good with a lovely balcony overlooking the beach area. We had booked for dinner on the first night and the food was okay but nothing special. However breakfast throughout our stay was a bit of a disaster. Food was not kept topped up and we were waiting for different items. One morning nobody came to take my breakfast order. Another morning nobody brought the coffee. On two occasions we found the bread to be mouldy and the service was generally poor.

worst ever room we have experienced paid £1499 for 2 people for bed and breakfast for 7 nights. Had room number 53, an accessible room as my husband is severely disabled, On arrival no help offered at all to get our luggage and necessary mobility equipment to the room, opened wardrobe door and a kingsize quilt fell out taking up most of the wardrobe space. Had to run hotwater for 10 minutes solid before it got warm in basin, plug was faulty so water would not stay in the basin. No hot water in shower, maintenance men arrived could not fix it other than to set it at one temperature meaning it could not be adjusted, ok for my husband but too hot for me. Wetroom not fitted with safety floor, ordinary tiles, very dangerous and slippy when wet. shower chair previously promised not in room, enquired and it arrived, ordinary plastic chair, did not conform to safety standards and no locking wheels. Also shower tray holder. rusty and looked like it had never been cleaned. Room looked out onto a fire escape and was next to the kitchens so we had constant noise from the extraction fans whenever the kitchen was in use. Although previously discussed with the hotel when booking, first morning at breakfast when requesting to take my disabled husbands breakfast back to the room was told this was not allowed and all Carole said she could supply was an egg and bacon muffin in a box, not at all what was agreed when booking. She advised me I should be using and paying for room service. Breakfast order wrong two days running, had one room service meal at night ordered for 8.30pm, arrived 8.00 hours, pizza in a box and chips, no cutlery, condiments, plates and we were charged room service as an extra. Most facilities not accessible by wheelchair users including the gardens, no ramps provided or built in. Staff pleasant but very young and lacked attention to detail. On final day we had arranged a late check out when booking due to my husbands dissabilities but the cleaner called asking could we vacate the room, she had not been informed of the late checkout. Sadly not what you would call 4 star luxury, have experienced better in a Blackpool B and B. Wonderful location but everything else spoilt the holiday for us, as the cost would normally have been outside of our budget but my husband has terminal pancreatic cancer and has been given until Christmas to survive so we decided to treat ourselves, St Michaels was a costly mistake! carers room was only a fraction of ours and was better in every way.
