Warm and friendly

Great location as had taken me daughter back to her student accommodation and was only a ten minute walk back into Falmouth town. Very welcoming staff and room was a good size and well equipped. Upgraded to a double room at no extra cost on arrival. The bed was a little on the soft side but still had a good nights sleep. The room was quite cold as could not get the heating on. On the whole the stay was excellent and would definitely stay here again.

What a lovely hotel! The staff were the most friendly and helpful Ive ever experienced. And they were genuine, not fake or forced. The room was beautiful, Spotless spacious and with gorgeous bedding! I slept really well ( which is rare) I'm blown away with the value for money. The breakfast was top class also.

The hotel room was extremely clean and nicely furnished. I was kindly upgraded which was a real treat! The bed was really comfy and breakfast was great. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Lovely courtesy call when we were travelling, keys left in key box with clear instruction. Huge, clean rooms with lots of extras for example, sea view and a good coffee machine. Nice communal areas and a delicious breakfast. Would definitely come again and recommend.

Disclaimer: I'm a consultant who works closely with hospitality businesses and I also stay in a lot of hotels. I know the hotels of Falmouth (large and small) well. This is one of the best small hotels I've ever stayed in. I booked solo for a cheap, single room (staying for business) but on arrival was upgraded to a king-sized bed room with an outstanding sea view (top marks for fantastic stormy seas and skies to watch during my stay too!). The welcome was brilliant - not overloaded with information and warm / friendly. The room spec and design is lovely. All the things I needed, a nice aesthetic without being tired, dated or cliched nautical. Everything worked well and felt generous (number of pillows, hot water, toiletries, replenishment of tea / coffee / biscuits etc too). Breakfast was perfect. A lovely space and very good quality food. I think it was lovely that all guests were offered free bubbly on New Years Day at breakfast. I didn't use the honesty bar or sit in the lounge but I did see it and if I'd not been working or staying longer I'd have enjoyed sitting in it. I interacted with four different staff during my stay, all of whom got the service level spot on. Warm, friendly, clearly happy to be there and doing the right things at the right time. The location is superb having both views to the sea and also very easy access to the seafront, beaches and also the town and stations. Finally - there are big hotels (3 and 4 star) along Falmouth seafront that could learn one hell of a lot from the Lerryn in terms of all aspects of hotel operation. Huge thanks to the Lerryn team and I'm looking forward to both staying here again but also the hotel's continued success.

Pros: Hotel looks good inside and out. Free parking. Friendly staff. Comfortable rooms with good shower. Good location near seafront. Cons. Uncomfortable bed, can feel springs through the mattress and spoiled my nights sleep. Both rooms were like this. Terrible coffee. Asked to change to tea, was brought more coffee.

In town for a conference. A very pleasant stay. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great location. Comfortable. Attention to detail. Good green initiatives.
