GGuest UserIf you’re staying in Hohhot and want a genuine, memorable experience, this is the place!!!
I can’t recommend this homestay enough. From the moment we stepped into the compound, the warmth of the family was immediately felt. You’ll be welcomed by a lovely lady, her husband, and his brother, who treat you less like a guest and more like family.
Within minutes of arriving, they greeted us with snacks, a gift, and let us know they were already preparing a local dinner. We sat down with them that evening, sharing a spread of local dishes and drinks, it was a genuinely special night. I don’t speak a word of Chinese, and yet through Translate we had a wonderful time together. Before heading to bed, they asked what time we needed to leave in the morning so breakfast would be ready for us which was very nice!
Morning came with their dogs greeting us and a delicious homemade local breakfast waiting at the table.
As for the yurt itself, it’s beautiful and incredibly cozy inside, exactly what you’d hope for. There’s heating in there in case you get cold as well.
We stayed two nights, and on our second evening we had to turn in early for an early flight. The other guest, though, stayed up late singing and dancing with the family, which honestly made me wish we could have stayed longer.
I’d give this place a 20/10 if I could. I booked it thinking it was just somewhere interesting to sleep for the night. What I didn’t know was that it would end up being a highlight of my trip to China.

GGuest UserLet me give an objective review of my stay at the Meiyuan Light Luxury Hotel.
The service was excellent. From the front desk staff to the breakfast auntie and the cleaners, every single employee was smiling and greeted me warmly, making me feel very welcome. This kind of service attitude is definitely what a hotel should offer.
Most importantly, the hotel excels in hygiene and cleanliness, meeting even the highest standards. The room was clean and tidy overall, the bedding was dry and odorless, and the bathroom was equally clean, fresh, and free of any smells. I especially liked the TOTO toilet in the bathroom; it flushed automatically with strong power and a fast stream without splashing, which is a great feature.
Additionally, the hotel offers free parking, which is very convenient for those traveling by car. Overall, this hotel offers great value for money and is highly recommended.

GGuest UserOverall, it's pretty good. The decor has a Mongolian flair, and the location is excellent, very close to Dazhao Temple, God of Wealth Temple, and Guanyin Temple. The front desk lady was enthusiastic and parking is convenient and free. Now, for the less satisfactory points. Firstly, shower time needs to be controlled within 10 to 15 minutes. When my family showered, they didn't see the instructions on the wall (in picture 2), which resulted in me, the second person to shower, getting cold water halfway through. I was covered in soap suds and didn't know what to do. The front desk lady said we could shower again in about twenty minutes. For a hotel to have a limited hot water supply is quite… If I had known this, I probably wouldn't have booked this hotel. Secondly, there's no elevator, and the hotel is on the 3rd floor. I knew this from previous reviews, and since we didn't have much luggage, it wasn't a big deal for us. However, guests traveling with elderly people should take note ⚠️. Also, the painting of Genghis Khan's third brother on the wall next to the bed – the decor is already a bit dim, and seeing that at night was creepy. Personally, I think paintings like that would be more suitable for the hallway, but to each their own. Just providing a reference for future guests.

BBenoitBWe had a very nice stay at Boqing Meisu. The hotel is designed around small courtyards, with a modern style mixed with some traditional and Mongolian touches. The overall atmosphere and decoration were very pleasant.
Our room was spacious and we were upgraded, so we even had a small private courtyard, which was a nice surprise.
Overall, the value for money was very good. The only small issues we noticed were with some of the room equipment. The smart lighting system was not very intuitive (or maybe we didn’t understand how to use it properly), and the automatic assistant didn’t really work for us. Also, the rain shower was not working, which was a bit disappointing for a relatively new hotel.
We didn’t try the breakfast. The location was convenient for us, close to Hohhot East Railway Station and practical when arriving from the airport and leaving by car. However, keep in mind that it is not exactly in the historical center, so it may not be the best location if your main goal is sightseeing in the old town.
Overall, a very good stay, with a beautiful design, comfortable rooms, and a few small things that could be improved.

DDaisy_CC.Traveling with a dog 🧳Road Trip 2️⃣ night, experience a rural homestay 🏨.
The room is large, the living room 🛋️ is very spacious, equipped with a kitchen and a bar, suitable for long-term stay.
Suggestion: Currently, you need to stand in the bathtub to shower 🚿, and water splashing all over the floor is inevitable. I hope to improve it❤️.
GGuest UserTaking advantage of the May Day holiday, I spontaneously embarked on a trip without much planning, intending to decide things as I went along. My classmate's mother recommended this hotel. To find a 5-star guesthouse-level hotel at this price during May Day was truly exceptional value for money. The hotel environment is excellent; although some areas were undergoing renovation, it didn't detract from the overall guest experience. The front office manager was incredibly welcoming, asking about our travel plans and offering genuine advice, such as visiting Dazhao Temple in the evening and reminding us about the significant temperature difference between day and night, suggesting we dress warmly. On my second day, I had originally planned to go to Chilechuan and then the desert, but she advised me to visit the desert first and then Chilechuan if time permitted. I readily took her advice, and the trip turned out to be perfect. The hotel's breakfast was fantastic and highly recommended. I look forward to staying here again during the summer holidays!

GGuest UserWhat a pleasant surprise this hotel was! It's built in a courtyard style and has a really authentic, down-to-earth vibe. The location is fantastic, just a hundred meters from Dazhao Temple and Saishang Old Street, making it super convenient for walking to grab food, drinks, or do some travel photography. The room was well-equipped and smart, and the bedding and pillows were very comfortable. When checking out, a lovely young lady even gave me some hand cream. Plus, it's close to famous shaomai and Ama milk tea shops.

GGuest UserThis hotel has excellent, brand-new facilities, and the shower experience is great. It's a smart hotel with integrated smart home features. The front desk service is outstanding – they are warm, polite, proactive, thoughtful, professional, and resolve issues very promptly. The location is super convenient, less than 100 meters from the subway entrance right outside the hotel. It's so convenient! I choose this hotel almost every time I travel because it offers great value for money, and the main reason is the exceptional service from the front desk staff, who are always warm and polite.

Aaiai0101How do I even begin to describe this hotel? It's hard to put into words. You can't say the service is bad, because for any feedback, the staff will just smile and say, 'Okay, we'll pay attention next time.'
Before I came, I read reviews saying the hygiene wasn't good. My first night's room was okay, but to my surprise, when I checked in again on Thursday and Friday, the room was really dirty. The door felt sticky, and the luggage rack was greasy. I saw the hotel's replies to other guests saying they'd do a deep clean, and this is the result.
Their attitude is: 'Okay, we'll pay attention.' Their action: none.
Facilities: I paid 5-star prices for a budget hotel room.
Hygiene: The second stay's hygiene was not good at all.
Environment: Its only redeeming quality is the decent location.
Service: The concierge service was the best in the entire hotel—everything else was lacking.
Basically, if you come to Hohhot and there are no other comparable options, you're just stuck staying here.

HHuafengmenchuangzhizuoshuangjingxiangTraveling solo, I arrived too late at the Inner Mongolia Museum to even glance around, so I booked another night to rest. The guesthouse is more of an apartment-style stay. The actual hotel is through a glass door next to where you check in, then you take an elevator to your floor. (The property security is to the right as you enter.) I found the hygiene to be quite average; I even saw a cockroach after waking up in the middle of the night. The facilities are complete with air conditioning, a washing machine, and a refrigerator. There's a water heater for showers, but the water turns cold after a while, so you need to mind your shower time. There were some construction materials piled up outside the door of my room, causing a slight odor.
