GGuest UserThis hotel is a beautifully converted historic watchtower. Its location is fantastic, tucked away down a small lane, ensuring a very peaceful stay.
I booked the most affordable room type, and it was surprisingly well-designed, featuring a smart layout with separate wet and dry areas. The decor clearly shows a lot of thoughtful consideration.
Breakfast was exquisite; though the portions weren't large, they were certainly satisfying. There's no elevator, and the stairs are a bit steep, but this is completely understandable and acceptable given it's a renovation of a hundred-year-old watchtower.
The staff members were all very friendly and helpful. Upon check-in, you can add a dedicated host on WeChat who sends helpful reminders and tips.

The food was good, the outdoor dining environment was comfortable, and we even received a souvenir upon departure.
However, for a hotel priced at over 700 in a fourth-tier city, and with such a high 4.9 rating, the overall experience was far below expectations.
Firstly, it's the first time I've encountered such an expensive room rate without a dedicated butler service. No one reached out to me via WeChat throughout my stay, and there was no phone in the room, meaning I had to go down to the front desk on the first floor to find a staff member.
Upon arrival, no one offered to help with our luggage to the room.
When trying to order crucian carp, they consistently refused, insisting on recommending crucian carp with rice. The female front desk staff member was quite assertive.
Secondly, the sleep experience was very poor. We came seeking the tranquility of the countryside, but were woken up at 8 AM by the sound of drilling from nearby construction. It completely ruined our initial intention of relaxing. I also mentioned this to the gentleman who seemed to be the owner at the tea counter, but he simply brushed it off with a casual remark and left. His attitude towards guests was also rather cold.
For breakfast, the taro was rotten and smelled bad! They don't have heated buffet equipment; all the food is served in regular plates. What's more, guests were required to wear masks when getting food. Their own equipment is inadequate, yet they expect guests to accommodate them!
Finally, the check-out experience was not good. We had planned to have lunch at the restaurant at 11:30 AM. Just as we were about to order, the same female front desk staff member informed us that we had to check out by 12:30 PM, so we decisively gave up on having lunch there.
At over 700, the price is already on the higher side for Kaiping, but it didn't match the corresponding service quality and living experience. The value for money is a bit low. I definitely won't be staying here again. Next time, I'll try Lazy Cat.

GGuest UserVienna international hotel stands at a very good location in the city. I liked to take a little walk in front of the hotel while I was waiting for picking up. The lobby is spacious. I feel fresh smell whenever I walk in and out. Elevator is clean. The hotel room I stayed was clean and spacious. Shower room was my favorite part indeed. Front Desk staff were friendly and helpful and professional. It is a good choice if you’re looking for a good hotel to stay in Kaiping city.

SSimonchungThe hotel is newly renovated with a stylish design, very clean, and the mattress and pillows are comfortable, with silky smooth duvets. The breakfast is extensive, and parking is free with plenty of spaces.
However, the staff insisted on not upgrading the children's breakfast to complimentary, requiring us to pay an extra ten yuan. Their reason was that they didn't have the authority to upgrade, which sounded quite awkward and dismissive. Most hotels we stay at usually offer complimentary children's breakfast for their image. It's not about the ten yuan being expensive, nor can my child eat much, but being brushed off like that makes it feel like the hotel staff training isn't flexible or professional enough. The hotel could easily absorb the cost of ten yuan, and in return, it would gain more positive reviews. It would be a win-win situation, so why not? Customer service definitely needs improvement.

LLilcccI recently returned to my hometown for a visit and stayed at Meisi Park, and I cannot recommend it enough! As a solo traveler, I was looking for a comfortable, convenient, and welcoming place to stay, and this hotel exceeded all my expectations.
The hotel is perfectly situated in a quiet yet accessible area. It’s just a 10-minute drive to the charming old town, where I spent hours exploring nostalgic spots, and the same distance to a modern shopping mall for some retail therapy. Whether you’re into history or shopping, the location is ideal.
The staff here truly made my stay special. They were not only warm and welcoming but also went above and beyond to recommend great local places to visit. Their insider tips helped me discover hidden gems I wouldn’t have found on my own. It felt like having a personal guide!
Cleanliness is clearly a top priority here—my room was immaculate. The bedding deserves a special shoutout: the mattress was incredibly comfortable, the linens were crisp and high-quality, and the pillows felt like clouds. I slept like a baby every night, which is rare when traveling!
The amenities at this hotel are incredible, especially considering the price. The common area had a washer, dryer, and steamer, which made packing light and staying fresh a breeze. The in-room elliptical machine was a fantastic touch, allowing me to keep up with my fitness routine without leaving my room. It truly felt like a home away from home.
The area around the hotel is peaceful and serene, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Despite being so quiet, it’s incredibly convenient to get around, whether by car or public transport.
All of these for under $50 a night?! I couldn’t believe how reasonable the price was for such high-quality accommodations. It’s rare to find a place that offers so much at such an affordable rate.

My 90-year-old grandmother, in a wheelchair, revisited her old workplace, the Grand Hotel de Paris, and found it still standing. It was quite moving to see how things have changed while the place remained. It truly felt like time flew by, and she was very content. Thank you.

GGuest UserHotel is clean and comfortable, equipped with all kinds of amenities. We were able do some laundry while we were there, which is a plus. All staff were friendly and professional, housekeeping greeted us with a smile every time. We had pleasant stay.

GGuest UserThe place is quite interesting, looking more like a museum than a hostel.
However it looked a little run down and rough.
Room 308 was huge but didn't feel cozy.
It was cold at night and the heater was not working well.
There is a bad sound isolation so I could hear every word that the people next to my room spoke.
The young female receptionist that checked me in when I arrived was very helpful.
She managed to rent an E- bike for me ! She deserves 5 stars for that.
The location is alright, near some coffeeshops and restaurants and close to Zili and Li Garden historical sites.
