I stayed in room 3 on the ground floor and I thought the experience as a whole was alright, gets the job done if that’s all you need. There were some things I thought were a bit strange however. The shower was the main thing, it was stuck on full power which was crazy fast. It also didn’t stay in place because it was so powerful and kept turning into the wall. When I had pointed it facing out, it would point to the window (which was in the shower) and begin to fill up the window sill. Additionally, the sliding door had broken and it was replaced with a flimsy shower curtain which Barry managed to cover the gap. The room was a little dark but other than that was fine. The bed was fine too. Dinner is room service or you can have it in the bar area if you’d like. There isn’t a restaurant however and the bar area isn’t incredibly suitable for a meal with a family, fine on my own though. The menu consisted of pub food and each item was between £11-15 for the majority. There is a pizza and alcohol deal for £15 which is what I had, which was fine. Breakfast was £11.75 I think and was a buffet in one of the service rooms and was pretty good. Overall I think my experience was pretty poor but the room was very clean and the staff were very helpful and polite

The price is relatively affordable, but traveling is not particularly convenient. The front desk worked a bit late and I had to wait outside for a long time. Located in Farnham, very close to UCA

The buildings is beautiful, the surroundings lovely, however the room was awful, dated and small, the walls so thin I could hear everything single word said by both couples either side of our room, and they weren't exactly loud! I had to go for a drive at 3am due to the snoring. We were due to stay two nights but left after the first, the owners state they dont care about the noise we jad to go through are now claiming they gave us an offer of an upgrade, they did not! I certainly would never book here again.

Never again! Where to start? Always start on a high, the grounds are beautiful and the staff very friendly and helpful. I made a late booking having found the hotel on comparison websites and thought I had a good price so selected a double superior room. I phoned the hotel to clarify a few details and was given a loyalty code which would give me an additional discount for "any food ordered, food from the restaurant and the bar". On arrival I asked about booking a meal that evening, only to be told that they didn't do food at the weekend! They would however provide me with cutlery if I ordered in (oh gee, thanks!). After an exasperating experience in a local Beefeater (they couldn't cater for someone anaphylaxis to garlic), I went to sainsburys. Ringing the hotel I asked if I brought something could they heat it up? I was told that they couldn't on the grounds of cross contamination; I wasn't even allowed to access the kitchen and use a microwave! This hotel does not have kitchen staff they use "caterers". I enquired about a meal the following evening only to be shown a 'fixed menu' and after some questions, I quickly discussed that they do not cook food freshly, food is pre-pared and "reheated". The menu itself is very limited with little choice. There was one 'plush' chair to sit on in the room - I decided to give that a miss based on the blood stain or cigarette burn (I left my forensics kit at home). Thankfully I brought my own coffee and plunger suspecting I might be faced with tiny coffee sachet things (yep not disappointed there). No saucers for the tiny cups! No mats to put your unsaucered cup on! All I can say is thank you Sainsburys for having a stock of mugs and food! Therefore if you are expecting to stay in the beautiful hotel you see advertised.... you aren't! It is a glorified B&B, admittedly in stunning grounds. I truly am not a negative person. This was supposed to be a treat for some quiet relaxation for a mentally exhausted paramedic. Instead the whole experience has been ruined and I am deeply disappointed. Superior room??? For decor, a Premium Inn would have been far brighter. You can make up your own mind. Depends what you want?

Sadly worst hotel room I have ever stayed in. (hotel nice, rooms horrible) Hair on the side board, on the floor and in my bed. Curtains so old they looked medieval and were hard to touch. Carpet you really didn't want to put your feel on after a shower. Power shower was great, but so powerful the shower curtain (who has these nowadays ayway) kept sticking to my body that just made me feel dirty and was difficult to wash yourself too. A duvet cover that had a split in it that was the duvet was coming out the side. One plug socket for the entire room no where near the bed for your morning alarm. The main door didn't lock so left feeling a bit vulnerable as a solo traveller The welcome was mediocre at most and no lifts to the rooms, but the exit the next day the staff where lovely and chirpy that would have made the welcome much better. BUT I would never stay here ever again sadly nor would I recommend it to anyone again now that I have stayed here. I needs a major make over to even justify renting a room at this cost.

All staff worked very hard to ensure my daughter’s wedding day was stress free and great fun. Lovely people, lovely food and great a**osphere. The guests stayed in the at the hotel together with their sister hotel, Alton House Hotel, I heard no complaints from anyone possibly due to the large breakfast

Such a beautiful hotel, however the room I was in was very basic. Cleanliness was good however the coffee cup in my room was stained. Breakfast choice was good, but the cooked breakfast could have been better. The poached egg tasted very vinegary and the sausage wasn't freshly cooked. I would however stay again because it was good value for money.
