Alameda Exclusive House

We tried to have a shower but it wouldn’t drain away and flooded the en suite. When telling the receptionist we were told there were no other rooms and they could not offer us a secure shower facility only shared shower which you couldn’t lock which were for the dormitories on the whole floor.There was nobody of gravitas that was there to help just a clueless young lady who was way out of her depth. Basically it was a take it or leave it situation!

Great location and hotel. Rooms small but exactly as advertised…funky, modern and just what was needed. Note: since covid they no longer have breakfast available, nor do they have laundry facilities available. There is a laundromat a few blocks away.

This place has been my most favorite place to stay! Everything rates a 10 .I wish there was one in every city. I would only stay there. It is fabulous, people wonderful and nice sheets😀

Super clean. Massive bathroom and big bedroom in the junior suite. Beds were super comfy. Top-roof terrace with bar.Close to old town with breakfast places, shops and restaurants in walking distance. Best restaurant in town "Alameda" in the same building.

When we checked in everything seemed okay until we got to our room. The room was way smaller than what was shown in the pictures on ***********, for the type of room we booked. They definitely gave us a smaller room than what we paid for. Apart from that, 4 (!) lamps in our room were broken and hanging loose from the wall and ceiling, exposing the electrical wires. The bathroom had mold in it, the showerhead was broken and the cup provided in the bathroom wasn't clean at all. We went to the front desk the same evening. The owner told us she didn't know about this (we later found out they just didn't care). She told us she could call maintenance the day after. They didn't have any other rooms available. And we had to come back again the day after. She didn't seem to wanna help us/care at all. The next day we talked to this other member of staff who offered moving us to one of their other properties in the city. She asked us to come back again the next morning. The next morning we spoke to someone different again about us being moved to the different property. Suddenly there was a different room available in the same property. When we got to the room we came to the conclusion that this was the room type we actually paid for. We also found out that they put new people in our old room without fixing anything. Overall the service was very disappointing and we weren't the only ones with problems. We also overheard other guests complaining at the front desk. The hotel also didn't offer any breakfast service even though they do mention this on ***********. The rooftop bar also wasn't open and there wasn't any other food or drinks service provided apart from a communal hostel kitchen. The rooms don't have hotel basics like a mini fridge, a safe and a kettle for tea. You can definitely get a better room somewhere else for a better price.

The worst experience I have in my life. We make reservation in this hotel 20!days before our arrival. The room supposed to be with “ EXTERIOR VIEW- Flat Television “. For greater security about the room when I make the reservation I demanded that the room must have an exterior view. The hotel sent me an email confirming the room with exterior view and in the reservation with Booking@ com. it clearly said that it had flat TV. However, today when we arrive after the trip, quite tired, they give us a room the size of a closet, with a window to a wall less than a meter away, no television. When making the claim, the receptionist limited herself to say that this was the only room available and the manager over the phone and quite rudely said that this was our room and that they did not return money. After two and a half hours finally Booking” reviewing my reservation Spoke with the receptionist and finally there they agreed to return the money. All the people who arrived while we were solving told us that they have had all kinds of problems with the rooms. For your tranquility avoid this place
