Nice quaint old inn in the centre of Faversham, big spacious room with large bathroom.. Bed was reasonably comfy although it’s always about personal preference.. The most ridiculous (lower than head height) massive light in the room which is comedic in size and proportion that it’s impossible not to bang you head in at least 50 times.. Food was tasty and well cooked but phenomenally small portions.. the dessert, dark chocolate and rum tart would have fit on a teaspoon! Breakfast was equally stingy.. nicely made but one massive issue.. no butter! Just packs of Flora! I’d rather spread and eat mud than margarine! As would most of the sane world.. Who I took to be the landlord was a bit on the abrupt and grumpy side but overall, a decent stay.. in a nice pub

Lovely old pub nice food. Not great chicory fussy husband. But loved his fish a chips close to everything nice area. Lovely couple of nights We would like to go back as didn’t get to go round the shepherds and neame brewery. Our room standard clean. Are 4 posters.

Called in with friends for a pre meal drink. Good selection of beers (Shepard Neame), lagers, wines and spirits, plenty of seating throughout the pub. Service was a bit slow as staff preferred to finish their conversations with each other rather than serve.

Characterful medeival buildings nicely converted into pub / restaurant / hotel right in centre of Faversham. Rooms have character preserved but with modern feeling too. Friendly helpful staff. Good chpices on food menu too.

Eight of us enjoyed a very good lunch at The Sun Inn. Brendan, the manager, and all his staff were very friendly and accomodating. The menu had plenty of choice and the wine list was well priced. Braised pork cheek & black pudding was delicious. We will certainly return in the near future.

Came here for a lunchtime meal as we have many times before. Unfortunately our experience was not the best. We ordered the pie and veg and a haddock and chips. The haddock was fine but nothing special considering the price. The pie was nicely presented and tasted good however the veg was ridiculously small in portion size. There was two tiny pieces of carrot, a dessert spoon of spinach and 4 pieces of green beans along with mashed potato. The plate on which it was served looked empty. Very disappointing. The napkins holding the knife and forks were wet as if they’d been lying on water. For almost £40 it really wasn’t worth the money. Oh, and whilst I was finishing my last forkful the waitress came and cleared our plates away!

Booked this pub for a night as spent the afternoon and evening in Faversham, frequenting the local shops, pubs and had an Indian meal. Checking in was easy, room was ready and was shown the way. Room was clean and spacious (No6) facilities in the room were good. Bed was comfy. One thing that was quite annoying was the fan/air vent in the bathroom, every few seconds it made a loud vibrating sound that even with the door closed was still loud all throughout the night. Breakfast was excellent good choice on offer. Location of the pub is town central so ideal. We paid £100 for the night including breakfast, great value. Would we stay again? Definitely 👍

We popped in for Welsh Rarebit and Cappuccino. The Cappuccino was all froth and cold. I took mine back immediately and the lady changed it. I told her my husbands was cold too but she didn't replace it. The Welsh Rarebit was tasty and very nice. I went to the Ladies before I left to find both toilet seats were disgusting. When you consider the attention to detail in the hotel rooms I think they could change the toilet seats which must be harbouring thousands of germs. Really disgusting 🫣.
