Inn at Carnall Hall

The room we stayed in was very spacious and comfortable, and we love the charm of this boutique hotel. Ella’s Table restaurant on site is so good. Plus just sitting on the rocking chairs on the front porch is a relaxing way to hang out with friends. Elliot at the front desk is always a pleasure as well! We look forward to staying here again very soon

I do not recommend third floor if you are tall. Be prepared to sleep with the lights on if you want to place your phone on the nightstand to charge. The wiring in my room was the kind that the light switch has to be on for the room to have electricity. The plugs do not work unless the light switch is on. So, if you want the plug by the bed to work, the lights have to be turned on. Oh, and the bar closes at least an hour earlier than the hours indicated.

I really wish I could give this hotel 5 stars. I think with a little bit of updating and servicing a few items, the hotel would be top notch. The staff was friendly, the hotel was safe and clean, and the historic part made it even more special. But the mattress was one of the most uncomfortable things I have slept on since I last had to sleep on the ground. I wouldn't be surprised to hear that those beds are 30 years old. I can deal with a few of the other issues, but when I wake up mad and hurting because the mattress was so hard, it ruins the stay. It would not cost much to upgrade the beds and do a service check on pipes, drains, etc. I personally think your guest would notice a big difference. Sadly, I will not be staying there again unless the beds are replaced. I have a chiropractor appointment Tuesday to realign my back.

Very convenient and fun bar.

TV did not work well. No hot water one day. The coffee machine had to be repaired. Nice location, but a food truck was located outside our window and was running all day and night (refrigeration truck?).

When I woke up the second morning there where blood splots on my bedding. I'm assuming they were bed bug marks.

I’ve been in a dorm converted to a hotel before. It was not a good experience. I expected the same this time but I was far more than pleasantly surprised! The bed and pillows were as good as I’ve ever experienced. I’ve stayed in castles, five star hotels around the world, and presidential suites. I would put the Inn right up there with the best of them for the comfort of the bed. Another feature I really appreciated was the AC. What set this place apart was the Uber-quiet ceiling fan and AC that really worked and quickly. No need for ear plugs! The covered porches out front were awesome. Complete with benches, rocking chairs, and tables. Great place to enjoy a decent cigar and read a book. One minor complaint: the room doors are not solid. I had good neighbors, so it wasn’t a problem. But a solid door would be an improvement and would add a layer of security. In short, any time I’m in Fayetteville, I’ll stay here.
