Beautiful blend of traditional German hotel with very modern updates. Some how blended perfectly like still seeing the old wooden beams of the building but having a wonderful rain shower in the bathroom. Our room was so comfortable after a long day of travel had two chairs to sit in a nice bed and a place for everything. Thought the coal hooks near the door and the boot racks and large towel warmers were a very thoughtful touch. The bench at the end of the bed was also great to put luggage on or put your boots on or prep you next day outfit. Also had a nice desk and decent WiFi if work needed to be done. Could not hear any of the other guest from our room. The most important thing to me is a clean room and it was so clean everywhere! Towels and sheets perfectly white and soft, hardwood floors and rugs excellent. Really one of the cleanest places I have ever been. The most amazing thing about the place were the people the couple who run the hotel were lovely and always helpful in a genuine way. They also had their children with them at times which was so lovely. Would so recommend the experience so few family run hotels left and none that make such a warm and welcoming stay. Hope to go back someday!

Our room was functional but not very nicely furnished and therefore didn't invite to stay.
Our room was very noisy and you could hear every step above us, even at night! It's not very guest oriented that we always have to sit at the same designated table in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner and are not allowed to change, even we asked several times! Delicious dinner! Free parking. Ideal starting point for hikes and bike tours. Bus stop about 300m away.

The owner and the family are nice and friendly. The room is clean and breakfast is variety and great. The location is not far from Titisee. It takes us 10 mins to get there. We would stay there again.

Da meine Frau mit Freunden in den 70er und 80er Jahren sehr oft hier wohnten zum Skifahren und wir ab den 90er das ein oder andere Mal einkehrten zum Essen, beschlossen wir für ein kleine Auszeit von 3 Nächten das schöne Schwarzwaldhotel zu buchen. Die Zimmer zur Bundesstraße 317 sind allerdings von morgens um 4 bis nachts um 12 zu laut. Hier empfehle ich dem Hotel den Einbau einer Klimaanlage, damit man an warmen Tagen die Fenster geschlossen halten kann. Die Zimmer Richtung Talstraße sind wahrscheinlich leiser. Das Hotel und besonders das Restaurant strahlt eine wunderbare Atmosphäre aus und man fühlt sich pudelwohl. Dieses Lob gebührt auch dem Servive und dem sehr netten Kontakt mit Gastgeber Hr. Johann You. An zwei Abenden gingen wir natürlich im Restaurant zum Dinner wo wir es uns sehr schmeckte. Die Vorspeisen und die Desserts möchte ich besonders loben. Bei den Hauptspeisen waren wir nicht ganz 100%ig überzeugt. Noch eins : Die Buchung über die tolle Homepage und das ganze drumherum war erstklassig !! Ich denke ... wir kommen wieder :-)

Wo anfangen - die tolle Lage, der umwerfende Ausblick auf den Titisee, die geniale Küche ... freundliche Mitarbeiterinnen, ein Traumpaar mit entzückenden Kleinkindern als Inhaberfamilie, der Nachwuchs schon im Laufstall an der Rezeption.. wir waren im Herbst 2024 dort, Wetter super, der Feldberg kurz hinter dem Haus. Eigentlich braucht man das Auto nicht, der höchste deutsche Bahnhof liegt nur ein paar Fußminuten entfernt. Wir werden wiederkommen! Nur mal zum Abendessen ist es zu weit, mindestens drei Tage muss man sich dort verwöhnen lassen.
