Best Hotels in Ferney-Voltaire, France

The location is great close to Switzerland, i.e. at the border there was a bus that left you in the centre in 25 minutes and in car about 15 minutes . Otherwise very happy with everything. We will certainly repeat 😊. In addition it is pet friendly, very recommended.

Probably the best place to stay in ferney. Ping pong, volley, pool and piano make it great for kids. Laundry and kitchen facilities. Only gripe was no room service during stay unless you stay for more than a week. After 4 nights our room definitely needed a clean… I would suggest rooms should be freshened every 3 days…

The 27-square-meter room is very large, it is more comfortable to live, the bathroom is dry and wet, there is a cloakroom, there is a small kitchen, you can simply cook something, the big window will be more perfect if the floor-to-ceiling window design, overall very good, except the location is a bit biased, the bus usually runs every hour, Be optimistic about the time to go out, but if you have a car, it will be very convenient. The outside environment is very good, the scenery is beautiful

We arrived at 11pm, tired due to a long flight delay. We were hungry and no food was available. We asked the receptionist if we could just have a drink from the bar behind her. She said no. There was no apology. I explained that if we'd arrived at an Accor or Radisson hotel they be able to help us. She just shrugged her shoulders. She wouldn't even provide fresh milk for my wife to make a cup of tea in the room. The check in was also time consuming and complicated. I was asked to pay for the room on arrival. I did this using my American Express card. I was then bizarrely asked for a €250 deposit. The receptionist explained that while I could use Amex for the room the €250 could not be paid on Amex, so I had to pay this on a Visa. I'd paid for the room in full and in advance so why was I being asked for more money? I get a breakage deposit if you're staying a week at a fully equipped apartment but this was just a double room with a bathroom. We were offered breakfast in our welcome email at €8.50 each but this was charged at €29 for two on our departure. Despite the coffee machine not working and there being nothing hot to eat left at 9am. Not good. The room itself was very nice, shame about the staff and ludicrous check in deposit situation.

The location is good, the price is cheap, and it is close to the airport. One kilometer walk to the center of the small town of Voltaire, there is a bus to Geneva Airport next to the city hall. Had a Thai meal in a small town restaurant and it tasted okay.

I stayed there for 2 nights where I was on business trip in Geneva. The staff by the reception were rude and not service-minded. There is no wine opener in the room. So I went down to reception to borrow one. The staff told me he could not let me take it and I have to bring the bottle down and open it there! It was such a humiliating experience. The staff were slow and sloppy. The facilities was poor. The room is very small and has only bed, a small table and a chair. No hairdryer, no ironing board, no bottle opener, no cups or glass. It was very expensive comparing what I got. The location is not convenient. It is in the middle of nowhere. The grocery store nearby closes early.

I had a very good stay at Ibis Budget, excellent to enjoy a good restaurant in the city and walk to Geneva, but it is recommended to be motorized. The hotel is very close to CERN for the scientists who want to visit and in 20 minutes you will reach the centre of Geneva.

Booked an overnight stay, we were met at Geneva Airport by the Manger, Jean Phillipe, who transported us to the hotel, plus giving a guided tour en route. He recommend a local restaurant for food - good recommendation. The suite we had was very comfortable, comfy beds, and the unexpected addition of a small dining area and kitchen, complete with dishwasher, tea, coffee, water, biscuits and chocolates. Substantial breakfast which was very enjoyable. All the staff were amazing, so helpful. We booked for the following weekend for an overnight stay before our flight from Geneva. The hotel transport took us to CERN, and the following morning after breakfast took us to hotel. While at the airport we realised that my grandson had left behind a souvenir, we telephone the hotel, they called us back to say they had found it and would send it by mail. The souvenir arrived yesterday making one young boy very happy. First class service from first class staff and a first class hotel. Will definitely be returning.

One of the best hotels i have ever staid in. It is truly 5 stars in every single way, when you enter the property and you saw peaple at the golf court, then you enter the luxury reception, with a wonderful fragrance. The fully new suites, are very well decorated, with a balcony for the jardin that was stunning. They were prepared to take care of every need our toddler had, with food out of the menu, to the preparation of our bedroom. Not forget to mention the pool, that was wonderfull, so beautiful and with all the amenities we needed
