We chose a rustic, natural hotel as we don’t like bling. At first the island hotel seemed a little dated & too rustic but by Day 2 we were in love with the island & everything about it. We had great snorkelling on the house reef (but guests should be told more clearly to NOT snorkel around the back of the water villas round to the pool bar as the currents are VERY strong in that area by the afternoon/ evening). My husband & I refreshed our old scuba skills & joined our 3 young adult kids in their diving course with Irish & Sarah - brilliant, confidence instilling and lovely, lovely people. Previous reports are correct - the current is significant on the house reef (especially in the afternoons) & also on the other dives around the atoll, but with confidence in the dive leader & guide & careful diving with your buddy, dives are enjoyable & often spectacular. We saw many, many fish, sharks & some turtles as well small rays. We stayed in two beach villas, and were initially given a pair far along the beach - somewhere around 129/130 which were back from the sea behind a mesh of bushes & no sand at all. We were able to move villas after one night to better options - in the low 100s, but the better villas are definitely 40s-80s. We enjoyed the pool bar (all inclusive drinks) day time with excellent attentive service from Farouk and after dinner drinks at the sports bar (pool table) with lovely Ravi always smiling, friendly & attentive. Food was good with a great expanse of buffet platters to choose from, hot & cold. Friendly waiters nearby, although our table’s waiter (the youngest in the restaurant), was not so great. With the move of villa’s, we had a lovely, lovely time and great service from everyone. This was our third time in the Maldives, each on a different island as the island hotel concept & safe diving/snorkelling is so magical - we met a German couple on this trip who have holidayed in the Maldives 20+ times! And the last 7, was on Filitheyo. We will definitely return to the Maldives.

This island is both magical & amazing. We loved it all from the villas right in the beach, amazing buffet for breakfast, lunch & dinner, the weather was warm and snorkelling. Meet and greet was thoughtful with a cold flannel, refreshing drink and a neck massage from the spa staff, nice touch. Check-in was seamless and then we were showed to our villa. We stayed on the south side of the island in a detached villa which had a lovely view of the sea. The beach on the north west side of the island is beautiful. Powdery white sand edges a calm lagoon for swimming and snorkelling. A stroll end to end will take you between 10-30 mins depending on how many times you stop to enjoy the view.Snorkelling here is excellent with easy access to the house reef. Would recommend exits 7 & 8. The corals are still good with little bleaching and plenty of fish including trigger, angelfish and surgeon. We were also delighted to be offered a complimentary "return to the island" meal at the sunset bar which was excellent and credit must go to all the chefs who produce such quality food each day.We love everything about Filiotheyo and are already planning another visit and a massive thank you to all the staff we met who really make you feel valued.

We have been lovers of the Maldives for 10 years, so this May we spent our vacation in this beautiful country. We chose the FILITHEYO resort for its nice home reef signed in several reviews. The underwater world and the state of the corals is a huge value of this island. The house reef is easily accessible from the beach and since we lived in the exit 6-7 area ( VillaNo.77) we had a coral garden almost at the door. Snorkeling was our daily activity and we enjoyed it very much. And what else to write about Filitheya? For the first time, we spent our vacation without wi-fi and without evening entertainment... and I'm happy to say that we didn't miss it at all. There were excellent guys in the Sun set bar (Rubel, Dino...) who took care of us as best as they could. Our two beers with foam was always on the table quickly and with a smile. The nice lady at the reception always waved to us and helped to solve every problem. The staff from the main restaurant (Nepal boy) was very respectful and attentive to the guests. Overall, we were satisfied with the vacation and I rate it as a good choice for our requirements. FILITHEYO has become unique for us, and despite the loss of my gold earring on the last day of our stay, we have only good memories. We would like to come back again. Katarina & Zdenko from Slovakia

Ein absolutes No-Go!

What a fabulous place to visit. From our greeting at the airport from a most helpful gentleman, to a great flight in our seaplane . This was a wonderful experience and even better when we arrived at Filitheyo International Airport in the middle of the ocean - what fun! We had the all inclusive package and it did not disappoint. There was a large selection of food at all three meals and a good variety of drinks available. The Island is so quiet and peaceful as there is no transport anywhere to be seen - which was pleasant. In all in we have had a great experience and would highly recommend this resort to both couples, families or friends.

This is gorgeous resort to be in. It is wonderful place to chill and unwind. Rooms are so spacious and give a very romantic feel. Outdoor connected bathrooms add to the connection with nature. The water is crystal clear and the sea life is absolutely beautiful! We had a great time snorkeling. Food was ok a bit more breakfast variety would have been good. Overall though it was good.

My husband and I first visited Filitheyo in November 2022. We had such a wonderful experience that we broke our strict rule of never visiting the same place twice. It was with some trepidation that we returned May 2024 hoping we would enjoy the experience as much as we did the first time. Much to our delight our return visit has been even better. We were amazed to have some staff members recognise and greet us like old friends. The extra little touches that we weren't expecting like a bottle of wine and a fruit platter being delivered to our room and a free private dinner on the beach certainly added to the experience. Filitheyo is a magnificent island. The diving is spectacular. The rooms clean and comfortable. The food is excellent and the staff (with a particular shout out to Hussain and Farook) go the extra mile to make everything perfect.
