Best Hotels near Statue ＂Ottar＂, Finnsnes

Nous sommes restés 6 nuits et avions réservés une ”big cabin”, soit un appartement pour 4 de 30m². Nous avons était sacrément déçu car hormis la literie et l'eau bien chaude rien n'était à la hauteur, ni adapté à un séjour ”long”. (je ne parle là que du logement et du complex Mefjord Brygge) Le logement aux airs de cabine de pécheur est assez rustique et nous avons manqué de beaucoup de choses. Dans la cuisine : pas de sel/poivre/huile Très peu de vaisselle (nous avons du nous rapprocher de l'hôtel pour récupérer des bols et des couteaux notamment) Les couverts sont à jeter (le manche se détache) La seule poêle était dans un état déplorable, le téflon avait disparu la rendant inutilisable. Pas de passoire, de ciseaux ou autres ustensiles de base La salle de bain comportée une douche branlante dont les parois ne fermaient plus, cette pièce très grande comparée au reste était vide, rien pour poser ses affaires de toilettes. Le lavabo était bouché. Ne chercher pas non plus de quoi maintenir le logement propre, la seule balayette disponible était similaire à un jouet d'enfant et d'une hygiène douteuse. Nous avons demandé un aspirateur et accessoirement de quoi faire sécher notre linge (une machine à laver publique est disponible dans la salle de sport) mais à leur tête c'était à croire que personne ne leur avait jamais fait cette demande. Pas d'aspirateur donc... à 4 pendant une semaine sans pouvoir nettoyer, quelle galère ! Et pour sécher le linge il à fallu faire preuve d'ingéniosité en tendant en travers de la pièce une cordelette qu'on avait eu la bonne idée d'emporter avec nous. Je ne sais pas comment font les Norvégiens pour faire sécher leur linge, nous n'auront d'ailleurs jamais la réponse. Le seul point positif a été les chambres, les lits séparés étaient douillets et nous avons bien dormi. L'eau chaude est vraiment chaude, plutôt plaisant quand on a affronteé les températures glaciales et le vent toute la journée. Nous avons diner une fois au restaurant de l'hôtel, la encore c'était très mitigé, bien que les plats étaient tous bons, côté quantité il y avait vraiment peu à manger pour un prix vraiment élevé. Les intitulés aussi étaient trompeurs, le parfait n'avait de parfait que le nom, le cheesecake également. Le petit déjeuner que nous avons pris une fois est un buffet continental, c'est correct mais pas fou. Très peu de fruits frais, le saumon fumé qui pourrait être local est en fait industriel, tout comme les jus, je ne parlerais même pas des charcuteries ultra transformées ... 195 nok le petit dej par personne, soit 17€ (sept 2023), voila voila. Bref, pour le prix total de notre séjour (1400€) et en sachant malgré tout que la Norvège est un pays ou tout est cher, nous avons eu l'impression de faire du camping. Les appartements ”Nothern Lights” juste en face de notre cabine offraient en apparence d'avantage de standing et de confort, séjourné dans l'un d'entre eux pour un tarif équivalent aurait sans doute changé considér

I have given this a rating of 3 as the location is great, and the staff were lovely. But the food was awful, some of the worst hotel food I have eaten anywhere, and I'm not one to complain. The food would be a 1 rating. Most of the people staying there were on half board as we were. There is NO choice in the menu (don't think you get what they suggest on their website), you get what you are given and it's bad. The first night there was a just about eatable steak, the second night there was a totally inedible fish dish with over cooked potatoes and sad veg. And they tried to charge us extra for catering for a vegetarian/food allergy (which was even worse than the fish dish). Eggs in the morning were like the rubber ones which come with kids kitchen sets, and I'm really not exaggerating. If you are thinking of coming here, I really suggest you get a self catering cabin, buy lots of food (the nearest shop is a 10 min drive away) and do it yourself. Eggs at breakfast were like the rubber ones in kids play kitchen and inedible, We stayed in one of their cabins which did have a self catering option (If you have booked one of these self cater if you can, but bring food with you the shop is a 10 min drive away).

Possibly my favorite place I have ever stayed! Choosing a favorite part of this stay is tough - between the hot tub, the trek to the Northern Lights Cabin, the dog sledding, the cabin with a 360 view of the outdoors ...and of course the homemade food. Maria and Aven made us feel like family and were the best hosts. Incredibly relaxing and the perfect place to reset and connect with nature. Coming all the way from the US, I really hope to visit again one day. Thank you to the whole staff for an amazing experience I won't soon forget!

This is a hidden gem! Quiet, cozy and with a friendly staff. The room is clean and the bathroom is inviting (with ritual-products!) I slept like a baby and woke up to the sound of…nothing - only the birds chirping and the smell of the sea right outside. The jacuzzi is a wonderful way to end an evening, overlooking the fjord and mountains in the area. The kitchen, wich is open all the time is spaceous and well aquiped. There was a basket with food for breakfast arranged for us, as we slept until 10.30. I would recomend this place to anyone, and we will surely be back!

UNICAL WELL! I am very happy to have chosen this structure in super last call. It has been a crazy! Streptious! New apartments, faced with the fiord ... but the final coup? The jacuzzi among the cottages! I suggest you leave use free, considering that many other facilities with the same price range, leave use free for customers who stay with us .

We chose this building during our recent trip from Lofoten in the hope that the location would give us the vision of the boreal aurora, because the hotel is located in a dark area with mountains behind the backs and front fiordo. The hotel is not very new but the atmosphere and service compensate. As many others have recensified, the dancing lights in the sky were welcomed when we arrived. We could not believe in our eyes. From the mountain to the stream the sky was swept by a spectacular aurora that kept us open for at least a few hours. The owner Tor is a nice and available person. We've been back for four days and we're already thinking of getting back in winter, very advisable.
