Cons - Customer service is disappointing at best, and non existent when you actually want it. - Phone line didn’t work so i couldn’t call to check about accomm/ food/ anything related to my stay prior to booking. Made the online booking and had to email to get confirmation. - Table service at breakfast is painful and not a great way to start the day. Took 10-15 min to even be seated. Had to ask the waitress if she would take my order after waiting 15min, another 20min before the food actually came out. - Asked for housekeeping to change my pillowcases, never happened - Room smelled moldy - def unpleasant- kept the balcony doors open throughout the day - Not having wifi access in rooms is insane in 2024. Wifi extenders have been around at least a decade at this point. - Rooms are NOT clean. Pretty sure my sheets weren’t changed between the prior guest and me. The pillowcases were dirty and after the first night i found blonde hair matted in to my (very dark brown) hair the next morning. Asked for pillowcases to be changed. Didn’t happen. Slept on one of the many towels they gave me after that. - Have they never turned their mattresses ever? Mattress was very uncomfortable with a deep dip on the sides of the bed and a high in the middle of the bed. - Carpet around the bed hasn’t been vacuumed. - Bathroom didn’t have an exhaust fan (!). - Shower door covered in scum. - Can def tell when a bathroom has been designed by a man bc there is no space to put any products on, forcing you to put shampoo conditioner soap and cleanser on the dirty floor of the shower, just gross. - Had to clean the mugs before using them, clearly they had not been cleaned before being put back in the cupboard (marks all came off easily with the provided scrub pad so reckon they were rinsed with water and then put back in cupboard). - Food, general store etc all very costly for not great quality (eg Ceasar salad for $18.90 + $8.90 to add grilled chicken - $28 for a salad) - You are told to call housekeeping if you want anything, but with no phone reception in the rooms or the provision of a phone, that is not feasible. Pros: - Staff in dive shop were pretty good. Ethan and Lette who took the snorkel tour were very good. - Proximity to snorkeling right off the beach is second to none, is easy to just go on your own. Just to emphasize this, if you have your own gear (wetsuit, snorkel& mask, fins) then you don’t need to spend any additional money on seeing the reef. I got a package so they gave me fins to use through my stay (have my own snorkel and mask). Note that suits need to be rented out. - Provision of a clothes horse in the room is useful and meant i could dry my gear overnight. Notes: If there was an emergency in my room and i could not get up or get out, i would have no way of receiving any assistance or alerting anyone of my predicament. At the very least shouldn’t there be a landline phone in the room that reaches reception? I have a kitchenette in my room wi
