Porto Romano - the Marina Resort

We selected this hotel as it was fairly close to the airport. While it is not walking distance to any restaurants or shops it is a comfortable place to stay. They have a complimentary shuttle from the airport to the hotel, the return trip costs 8 Euros per person. While the rooms were extremely clean and comfortable it was the staff at the front desk that made the stay even better. Paola was especially kind and helpful. We had taken a taxi into town and the driver said the rate would be the same to return. However, the return driver said it was not and charged us more. We mentioned this to Paola and she contacted the taxi company and they refunded the amount we were overcharged. We felt this was way above and beyond what you would usually experience. We would stay there again because of her kindness and her desire to take care of their customers.

Worst accommodation ever! Rooms smell like newly painted laque and you suffocate. We couldnt breathe for 2 nights. No heating working in the room and we froze in the room although we mentioned several times to the hotel management. Service is very poor as they didnt care about the mentions!

Paula was terrific- super friendly and helpful. Valerio was amazing bartender- best Old Fashioned ever! - and counseled me on perfect dinner selections. Spa was fantastic!

Spa and staff were wonderful

We had one night in Rome and wanted to be close to the airport. There is a shuttle which takes you from airport to the hotel which is in a marina and quite lovely area. It is about 15 minutes (not 5 lol) away from airport and the facility is lovely. Staff was very nice and helpful. You can shuttle back to airport to take train into Rome.

Very nice hotel but the toilet was broken in our room and a workaround had to be arranged. Also, the bathroom drape was partly broken. However, nice property, good response from staff, clean, comfortable and modern.
