We have stayed in many AI resorts across the Caribbean and this is by far our favourite one. We stayed for the first time for 10 nights in May and had green flags at the beach every day. We had a couple of rainy days but this didn't deter from our enjoyment at all. We stayed in a Gauguin Cottage and we did enjoy this but next time we will opt for a Beachfront suite as we found a couple of negatives with it; When it rains, there is no overhang, so you can't sit on a chair outside and read, have a drink etc. Due to the heavy rain, because of the design (the resort enclosed the living room area which used to be outside) therefore you have an outside roof with removed guttering inside. This caused our living room area to flood a few times and we had to put buckets and towels down to catch this. Guest Services said that this is normal? Food and drinks were good to very good and the Gauguin restaurant made the dining experience really special. Staff were mostly very good to excellent with just a couple of abrupt members. Entertainment was good too and as stated before, the Saturday night entertainment is exceptional and a must see. I went to Yoga regularly and this was also really good. Mackenzie is brilliant and if you do find yourself with a few leftover dollars from the holiday, she has an excellent animal charity! The watersport guys are also great and offer to take you out in a hobie cat to snorkel. Beware that they do advertise a "new" beach and pool drinks service. We never encountered this during our stay but no where was far to walk and this didn't bother us at all. If you did order at the bar, they would mostly offer to bring it over...as long as you weren't sitting on the beach. We really enjoyed our stay and loved this intimate resort. We will definitely return next year!
