This was undoubtedly the Best holiday that we have ever had. Sugar Beach excels in every depar**ent from the excellent food, personalised service and accommodation. Special shout out to the service excellence executive Anuradha Servais who gave special attention to us on my birthday and anniversary celebration. Highly recommended to anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion. Also easy access to a great golf course in Tamarina.

We had the most wonderful stay and were treated like royalty by all staff. Special mention of Anuradha Servais who above and beyond to make sure all our needs were met. We had certain dietary requirements and she made sure that everything was in order at every meal. The rooms were excellently serviced and luxurious

As a guest of La Pirogue Hotel ,me and my friend went to see the gym facilities .We were both welcome by a charming lady named Isabelle who explained clearly the gym facilities and the gym is beautiful,clean well equipped and well maintained with a cardio room,a strength and weight room,a studio where they offer different fitness and dance classes.

Fabulous property in the best beach location. We had a Premium room which was very well appointed, comfortable and spacious and was looked after beautifully by Emrith- Thankyou. Without exception the staff were wonderful, the hotel facilities were extensive and the place was immaculate. We really enjoyed the water sports opportunities at La Pirogue next door and often spent our days at that part of the beach and enjoyed their lunch and cocktails of the day. We loved playing crochet in the late afternoons too. We hired a car for 2 days and explored pretty much the whole island. It is truly beautiful and there is so much more to see than just the beach. Driving ( on the left ) was stress free and car hire was a reasonable . We stayed half board and the food was superb in the buffet restaurant. The selection was immense, the chefs rightly proud of their dishes and the food was fresh , plentiful and delicious. Citronellas was a lovely spot but we preferred the food at the buffet. We stayed half board and despite being forewarned by reading previous reviews we were floored by the price of the drinks. Consequently we only enjoyed one or two drinks with our meal and then ended up back on our lovely patio with drinks from the local supermarket when we would far rather have been sitting in the bar enjoying a beer or cocktail. The price for the cheapest glass of wine is around £10.50, cheapest bottle £50 and a large local beer £10! ( £1.65 a large bottle at the local shop). If the prices were more reasonable eg a bottle of wine for about £30 and a pint around £6 or £7 then I feel that people would enjoy longer evenings at the bar enjoying the ( often great ) entertainment( and probably spending more) Instead we saw that most people headed back to their rooms after eating and most people staying to listen to the music were empty handed. We spent quite a lot of time enjoying bars further down the beach during the day but they were a bit far away to revisit at night time. Overall we had a wonderful 2 weeks at Sugar Beach and fully appreciate the cost of maintaining the extensive property and excellent staff but I’m afraid the prices would lead us to look for a less luxurious hotel in the future.

i cannot recommend sugar beach highly enough ,from the minute we checked in on 7th may ,to the minute we left it was just pure paradise .the staff simply could not do enough for you .Chesney upgraded our room to a beach villa ,all i can say is WOW it was just perfect . nothing was too much trouble for him what a lovely guy ,also very professional. The room number 514 was unbelievable,everything was just wonderful,our house keeper Sharmila again what a wonderful lady ,nothing was too much trouble for her she was amazing ,she made our stay very special indeed thank you sugar beach we will be returning
