Our room was beautiful and so spacious! There was an upstairs loft with high ceilings that a whole other full bed was in for our family of four. The decor was tasteful and there were lots of amenities in the room- snacks, coffee, water, toothbrushes, etc. We were blown away with how nice it was. And the location for a tourist could not be better. And the pricing was so affordable! Please ignore the negative reviews- yes, you do have to climb one wide flight of stairs before the lift, so that would be an issue for a person with a disability. I also feel like having the front desk not open all hours could present a challenge. However the people working there were lovely and stored our bags for no charge for the afternoon. The rest of the critiques sound like people who have never traveled extensively. Smell? Barely noticeable and not unusual for an old city. Not a full service hotel? Yes, this is Europe.

Luxury ? No phone, hard bed, Staff comes and goes and leaves at 5p.m till next day. It is just a place to stay, no more than that. You get a plastic key card to enter your room. That is normal but if you lose it ,you will be locked out of your room if after 5 p.m.

Loved the location of this excellent little boutique hotel. Ideally placed for easy access to all the historic sights with lots of shops and restaurants around. Lovely decor, very clean and exceptionally helpful staff - Thankyou to Fatima, Theresa and the lovely cleaning lady. Would highly recommend .

This property is a typical European hotel setup. It’s in a shared building with other tenants. Very clean, the staff was excellent, very caring. Checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed. The rooms were spacious. I asked for a double bed and separate bed for my daughter, there was a separate room with a single bed and closet that was very spacious. I highly recommend this hotel and staff.

This place is not a real hotel. It is completely filthy and it STINKS. The hallway reeks of sewage. And it is clear they are trying to cover up the sewage smell in the room with some type of vinegar substance, but the rooms smell so strongly of vinegar that it gave me an extreme headache and I was unable to sleep. Regrettably, we were exactly who this “hotel” prays upon—the unwitting travelers who impulsively book a stay after looking at the pictures and not the reviews. Then, after we booked and realized the horrendous reviews, we asked—months in advance—if we could cut our 3-night stay short by one night for a refund of that one night. They denied us. When we arrived, the smell was overwhelming. It hits you in the face like a truck the moment the “hotel” door opens. There is no elevator on the floor that the street is located on. Instead, we had to haul our luggage up 3 flights of stairs to a very dangerous elevator—all the while trying not to gag from the putrid smell. And if you thought your smell was the only one of your senses that this “hotel” does not care about, you’re wrong. The hallway is also in complete darkness, so try not to fall off the ledge next to the elevator! We immediately decided to cut our stay short even though we already paid. It is clear the reception is only there a few hours a day because it would be unhealthy for anyone to stay in that lobby for a long period of time. Theresa is very nice, and frankly, she should get a better job at a different hotel. This place is absolutely disgusting. The health and welfare of all of its customers and staff are in danger by staying here. We have traveled to many hotels and b&bs in Florence, Italy, and greater Europe and while it is typical that every now and then you have a sewage smell- this is extreme.

This is an incredible location for the Duomo (literally a 2 min walk) and shopping area - plus pretty clean! Just don’t expect a traditional hotel and some stairs to walk up. Staff are absolutely excellent, shout out to Fatima and Faisal for being so warm, welcoming and helpful.
