Hotel Cardinal of Florence - Recommended for Ages 25 to 55

Absolutley horrible experience no hot water for 5 days and was lied to everyday that it would be fixed. not mention armando the apparent manager is the most useless person. he lied about not being the manager???? not talking to me he refused phone calls didn’t answer messages or a single email for days when the front desk told me to reach out to him about my situation. even spoke to him on speakerphone in front of of Ahmed one of the front desk guys and Armando has the audacity to say he doesn’t know me like i hadn’t been calling every day and texting every day. Completely horrible and unprofessional. Armando ruined the entire experience. Armando you are horrible

Great place. The Cardinal was nice! The room was clean and the rooftop view was incredible. Highly recommend.

Great location and a safe, reliable choice for solo travelers. Everything is within walking distance, with the Duomo less than 10 minutes away. There’s also a bus stop right in front of the hotel, and the train station is about a 20-minute walk. Getting there from the airport was easy too – the express train is simple to find and use. I did have a bit of trouble finding the hotel itself at first, as the signage (red text on a clear background) isn't the most visible – especially if you're a bit directionally challenged like me. Once inside, though, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and my room was clean and comfortable. There’s coffee, juice, and water available 24/7, but don’t expect a full breakfast – just a croissant or cookie. Also good to know: there are around 70 stone steps to get up to the hotel level, so packing light is a good idea!

Good location and friendly staff Convenient location, clean and well kept and the staff were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Roof top patio views are incredible.

Comfortable clean room with original ceiling from 1611, unexpected complimenary prosecco, crossaints, coffee and juice machine despite not paying for breakfast. Good view at rooftop terrace, nice staff and perfect location.

Enjoyed our visit because of the wonderful staff and interesting history. Well appointed with juice, water and cookies plus coffee machine available until 10 pm Staff helped get huge bags to the third floor. Definitely call ahead, but treated us like family.
