Poppy Apartments

Over priced , if your paying £10 per night that's fine, but £40 don't bother, you can get better and cheaper on the front . Really nice people that own in but nothing works. Only advantage is a community washing machine

Highly recommend Poppy Apartments! Been coming to Calis for 20 years and stayed in a few hotels and apartments. The rooms in poppy are spacious & clean. Prior to arrival, Mel messaged to ask if we needed anything for our arrival. Such a lovely gesture! All the staff are friendly and you can tell it’s a family run business… you are made to feel like part of the family! The pools a good size, the sun loungers are all in great condition. The bar area is lovely and you can sit on the terrace by the pool, enjoying a good value beverage. Prices are very reasonable! The apartments are only a few minutes walk to the nearest shop so you can have a quick stroll to get fresh bread every morning. The apartments are also a short walk to the main ***** and the sea front (maybe a little longer if you’ve had a fair few beers but still doesn’t talk long at all). Mels American pancakes are to die for!!! Honestly, I’ve visited America many times and she puts them to shame…. I think I might have to get a monthly shipment once I get back to the uk! Honestly, if you come for your first time… you’ll arrive a customer, leave as a friend or more like family! Mel, Cem and their son emre really can’t do enough! We’ll definitely be back! We booked this apartment very last minute, we based our decision based on reviews, location, price and convenience. Not sure what to expect from a 2* we were really pleased on arrival. Apartments are spacious, clean and adequately stocked. There is everything you need. And if you need hairdryers, irons etc, reception has ample to borrow. The pool is amazing, the hotel has around 18 rooms so there is loads of room around the pool area. What makes this place so special is the amazing family that run the hotel. Mel in particular was amazing, she really helped us to explore locally, giving us great advice. Nothing was too much trouble. Food is great if you fancy a quieter night. Hasim is always on hand with great chat. We had a late flight home and they were extremely accommodating to try and help us. Brilliant location to explore. We will definitely return. If your looking for a home from home, this is a definite!
