Very clean and lots of food options close

I stayed for a single night in March at Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Allentown- Fogelsville. Going in I was healthy & leaving I had head lice. I have been itching since then, so about 1 1/2 months now. I’ve tried 3 types of treatment on my scalp (latest being yesterday) & I’m still itching. So I will be going to my dr now to see if there is maybe a prescription treatment. After complaining the hotel manager contacted me saying their cleaning was adequate & thorough. Head lice don’t normally live off the body & die within 24hrs. I was itching about 3 days after which fits the timeline. I went to a drive in movie & other than that I was home. I got them from the hotel! Their statements are inaccurate too. I’ve never had head lice before & wouldn’t wish this on anyone. I now understand why people bring their own pillows to a hotel! I worry about other cleaning they do. What else might you get sick from?!

Stayed for one night & the bed was comfortable, maybe because the head lice were nesting there & on the pillows? I left feeling fine, but 3 days later I was itching my scalp & felt like little things crawling on my scalp. Yes, I had head lice. I did not go anywhere after the hotel that I was in contact with other people. We went to a drive in movie (so sat in our car) then drove home & stayed home for the next 2 days. It is now 1 1/2 months later & I think I have finally gotten rid of my head lice. 3 different treatments later & I still get freaked out thinking I had these little mites living on my scalp. I've never had head lice before, and wouldn't wish this on anyone. I complained to the hotel & their response was: "Head lice do not like to reside off the human head as the ambient temperature is not appropriate and their food source is not there. After being off the head for about 24 hours, head lice will die on their own. Because of this, the most common way to contract head lice is by way of direct contact with another person’s head who has lice." This is untrue, head lice are rarely found in hotels, but they can be & they definitely can live for more than 24 hours. Obviously they do not have cleaning protocol, which is scary in so many ways. I would tell everyone to stay far away from this establishment. I will also bring my own pillows everywhere I go now as I am so scared because of this incident.

For the low price I paid, definitely will be staying with this hotel again! My only complaint would be that the air conditioning in room 306 was not very strong that my partner and I had to bring up our own fan (we were moving him back to his school) to cool us down. Other than that, a great experience!

The room was extremely clean. The desk clerks were very friendly and knowledgeable about local places to eat and likely local road conditions during a snowstorm. The hot breakfast was excellent. I could not have had a better stay, and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Lehigh Valley.

Great large room for a great price. Would definitrly go again!

Stay was amazing & beds were very comfortable

They have the best King Bed I’ve slept on in a long time. Pillows were perfectly firm.

I really liked this hotel I would stay again. It was quiet and we were on ground floor which is important for me. We stayed in an accessable room and if I book again I would want that same room. It was perfect for our needs. Also we are keto so the fact that they had hot scrambled eggs and bacon available was invaluable. Not having to go out to breakfast saved us time and we were able to get home earlier. Most pleasant, and they have motortrend channel so that was also a plus!
