Inn at Folkston

LOVELY B&B - WE ARE TRAIN LOVERS AND TED AND ALEASE READ OUR MINDS- WE WERE PUT IN THE TRAIN ROOM! SO MANY NICEITIES IN OUR ROOM AND BATHROOM THEY JUST DIDN’T LEAVE ANYTHING OUT. LARGE BATH HAD EVERYTHING YOU NEEDED AND THEN SOME. VERY NICE BED AND GREAT PILLOWS. FURNISHINGS WERE BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUES AND THE PROPERTY SURROUNDED BY LUSH GREENERY. THE ABSOLUTE BEST FRONT PORCH IN THE SOUTH! WILL STAY AGAIN

What a lovely two nights we spent at the Inn at Folkston. The Inn Keepers Ted and Alease are so nice and kind and just a joy to deal with. We stayed in the Garden room which was beautiful, clean and comfortable. I loved the garden tub! We stayed here for a kayaking day trip in the Okefenokee. Did a little train watching too!! Ted and Alease made sure our breakfast was ready at 7:30 AM so we could eat and meet our kayak guide on time. Our breakfast was awesome on both days! Kudos to Ted the Chef! We highly recommend this lovely B&B in Folkston, and hope to return soon!

We had a great stay! Beautiful home with nice rooms and a great front porch. Ted and Alease were very gracious and attentive hosts. Very close (＜15 min) to SRCA entrance to the Okefenokee. Definitely recommend for anyone staying in Folkston.

We've been at the Inn for a number of years as we paddle the Okefenokee Swamp. (We recommend the Swamp, even if you don't have your own boat, because there are boat tours available, and it's beautiful.) We definitely recommend the Inn very highly. The a**osphere among the hosts and guests is friendly, and makes us feel like one big family. Ted and Alease are really gracious hosts, and their breakfasts are superb.

we were so pleased to find the inn at Folkston for an overnight stay before we visited the Okefenokee Wildlife Refuge in Georgia. The owners were so gracious and helpful, making sure we got the right information about park tours, the local scene and recommended a great restaurant for dinner. The Inn has a comfortable, warm a**osphere, the decor is homey with a huge front porch for relaxing, and the beds were very comfortable.

B&B's are our first choice for accommodations when we travel, and we have visited quite a few. There is a new #1 on our list-The Inn at Folkston. Innkeepers Alease and Ted are hospitable, professional, and friendly. We came away with new friends whom we hope to see again. Our room was very comfortable; the bed linens were ironed, which is the height of luxury in my book, and instead of a heavy, hot comforter, there was a lightweight cotton blanket and a cotton bedspread. The room was spacious, with plenty of space for suitcases and other belongings. We loved the screened porch that adjoined our room. The bath was spacious with more nice linens. The breakfasts were the best meals we had in the four days we were in the area. We would definitely visit again if we are in that area.

We had such a lovely two-night stay at the Inn at Folkston. We were in the area to explore Okefenokee Swamp National Park. Our room was spacious and pretty, the bed comfy, and the breakfasts totally yummy. Most of all, our hosts Ted and Alease were friendly and welcoming. We had fun watching the Super Bowl together and sharing conversation. They were warm and helpful with advice about the local community and the national park. We would love to return to this special place and will surely recommend it to friends and family. Ted and Alease are special, and they have created a delightful, cozy sanctuary.

Excellent facility and lovely rooms with everything you could want, including cushy robes and locally made lotion and soap. But what really makes the inn something you don't want to miss are the owners/hosts Ted and Alease. Gracious, kind, helpful, and such an interesting story of how they came to be inn owners. Excellent breakfast, too. Folkston is a cute little place, and you're just a few miles from the amazing Okefenokee natural area. Be sure to take a boat tour of the swamp! So interesting!
