This was the third time my husband and I had stayed at Rudding Park. The service has always been excellent but this time it was outstanding! As we approached the hotel, driving through the beautiful 200 acre grounds, we were met by a member of staff who pointed us in the right direction to unload our car and check in. There was improvement work going on outside the reception area, which could have made it tricky to park. But thanks to the forward thinking of the management, this was avoided. The moment we pulled up outside, one of the lovely receptionists raced out to greet us and scooped us up, along with our luggage. She arranged for our car to be parked for us in the car park so we didn't need to think about it. She checked us in and carried all our bags to our room, even though we were happy to carry them ourselves! We were chatting to her in the lift and mentioned it was our third visit to Rudding Park and we were celebrating our wedding anniversary that day. After we'd got settled in the room, we went for a walk to explore our stunning surroundings, including the chef's garden and the hotel's very own historical chapel, which boasts intricate stone carvings by Italian stonemasons. When we returned, we made ourselves a coffee and there was a knock at the door. The lovely receptionist had returned with a complimentary bottle of bubbly and a hand written card to wish us a happy anniversary! Such a thoughtful and special touch. The decor at Rudding Park is luxurious and contemporary. The bedrooms are clean, spacious, modern and comfortable. Ours had a view of the gardens. The food at dinner in the Clocktower Restaurant and breakfast in the conservatory the next morning, were delicious and once again, the service was first-class. When we ordered our dessert, we were presented with a plate of chocolates with happy anniversary inscribed on it - another lovely gesture. After dinner we had a wander around a part of the hotel we hadn't seen before and we were delighted to find a library, rooms with antique paintings and architectural plans for Rudding Park's expansions over the years. The library was full to the brim of fascinating books, some of which dated back over 150 years. In my feedback form to the hotel, after our stay, I suggested that this could become a feature for guests, if it was signposted and the books and paintings were labelled to show their origin - a little historical tour maybe. The manager very kindly responded to my comments and sent me a fascinating fact file of the hotel. Everything about Rudding Park is amazing. It's set in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside. Its staff are friendly, professional and can't do enough for you. They are happy in their work and there's plenty of them, which is unusual to see nowadays when places are constantly cutting costs. It's obviously very well loved by the management and the owners, who keep ploughing money back in to keep it at the top of its game and introduce new services and f

Just returned from another welcome break to Rudding park.On arrival we received a room upgrade this was a great surprise and was really appreciated. As usual the room was very clean and tidy with nice views of the park. We dined at the clocktower restaurant first class service and great food in the conservatory. Can't wait to return for another relaxing break.

From start to finish, our spa overnight stay was amazing- the facilities are fantastic but what really stood out was the attention to detail from the staff- nothing was too much trouble and they went above and beyond throughout our stay. The rooftop terrace is a dream particularly with the sunny weather we had and our massage was amazing. Will definitely return- the best spa stay we have had!

It’s been on our bucket list to visit Rudding Park for ages and we finally managed to save up to pay a visit. The grounds on the drive up to the hotel are breathtaking and we were met by the nicest people at reception. Our room was absolutely stunning and we’d upgraded to a room with a steam room which worked a treat. The star of the show is undoubtedly the spa, you already have preconceptions about how good it is but it’s better than that. It’s modern and clean and every part of is amazing. We dined in the clock house and the food was ok, nothing special but nothing to complain about. Every member of staff was courteous and well done to all of them. Had a wander around the kitchen garden and again it’s stunning with nothing out of place. Obviously if you’re loaded you don’t need to bat an eye at the price but when it’s a bit out of your price range you do wonder if it’s worth it, believe me it’s worth every penny and we can’t wait to return.

Rudding Park Hotel is truly exceptional. The service is exemplary and the people really are amazing. Nothing is too much trouble. They have always gone above and beyond to make our visits really special. From start to finish it always feels like you really matter to them. It does not surprise me that they are such a fantastic team as this level of personal attention starts with the manager Karen who really cares and goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect. Thank you so much. Can’t wait to return.

We were really looking forward to this trip for my husband’s birthday and our expectations were high - but I have to say the hotel and especially its staff exceeded them. From start to finish everything was excellent but without being overly stuffy. From the artworks around the building to the huge rooms & bathrooms and the fabulous food & truly lovely staff, nothing could be faulted. Thank you Rudding Park, we will be back.

My husband and I booked a stay at Rudding Park for one night to celebrate my birthday. On checking in we were informed that we had been given an upgrade to a spa room. The room was absolutely fantastic and included our own steam room. It was also quiet. We ate in the Clocktower restaurant in the evening and enjoyed the food. The service was excellent as well. Very attentive staff. The choice of food for breakfast was excellent especially the buffet. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and found all the staff we encountered to be helpful. They were a credit to the hotel. We will certainly return in the future.

Yet another wonderful stay at Rudding ! As always excellent levels of service from every member of staff . The welcome and help we received from Jack at reception was a lovely start to our break - he also kindly juggled our restaurant bookings when we decided to have a change of plan . The Follifoot room was gorgeous and super clean and comfortable ( thank you for all the gorgeous little treats that were waiting for us on arrival , much appreciated ! ) . We ate at The Clocktower and Horto and again experienced wonderful service , a special mention for Cheryl in Horto who is super friendly and helpful ( certainly goes the extra mile ) and encouraged us to try Horto for breakfast and dinner - so glad we did as the food was so good - beautifully imaginative and fresh . The other staff we encountered in Horto were also lovely ( Harriet, Callum and the other young lady at breakfast - sorry I didn’t get your name ) . I can’t praise this hotel enough as the staff go out of their way to make you feel special , everyone who works there acknowledges you as they walk by - something lacking in some hotels . We now visit as often as we can when we want a relaxing treat . We didn’t use the roof top spa this time , just the downstairs pool area but have on previous visits and it’s a lovely experience if you have the time to try it out. Do try this hotel if you can - you won’t be disappointed!
