Beachside Boutique Inn – Folly Beach Rooms & Private Cottages

Beachside Boutique Inn simply never disappoints my expectations! Folly Beach is my favorite coastal destination in SC and I always stay at Beachside Boutique Inn.

This is such a quaint place right on Folly Beach. Before booking here, I’d read all of the comments the host has made on reviews on their place. Everything started off so nice and friendly, but if something on your stay goes wrong, it’s probably best to prepare for the worst. We were unfortunately woken up at 5am with bed bugs and had to go to the laundry to wash and dry everything in case our items had been infected. This was a rough beginning to our trip. We sent this information to the staff and they denied it was a bed bug, but I’ll let you decide by the attached photos. Staff also implied that of was something we “picked up” during our day. I will say, the staff did give us a full refund for our room, but that doesn’t even come close to covering the laundry, Ubers, ruined clothes, or the time we will never get back. Staff also says they brought out an exterminator the same day, but said they did not find any bud bug activity. I hope they took this seriously and this same issue does not cause a problem for other travelers. It’s too bad our experience was ruined because this place has so much potential. I’m glad to see other people comment negative experiences about this place as well because it seems so great upon first appearance. This location is perfect, a quick walk to the beach, and right next to all of the shops, restaurants, and bars. If you do choose to stay here, please don’t make the same mistake we did by not checking the bed before laying down for the night.

The bungalow was so retro! It was definitely Folly Beach. We loved having our own front porch & kitchen. Location was great-walkable to beach, restaurants, & shops. Good variety of food for breakfast. Plenty of healthy options.

Staff friendly and always helpful. Room clean and various amenities. Nice selection for breakfast every day.

We stay at Beachside Boutique several times per year and it is always wonderful with great staff, great breakfast and accomodations are always clean!!! I feel like family when I stay there due to Laura and Lana always willing to help and answer any questions we might have.

This was such a cute, unique property, walkable to the Main Street street. Rooms were clean, spacious and quiet. And the Wrigley greeting was the best!

Check-in super easy, our room was spotless. Everything is so welcoming here just lived our stay.

Very nice place to stay. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for a quiet and relaxing vacation.
