Everything about this place is better than we even imagined it would be. From the staff, the cottage, the food, and the grounds, everything always beyond amazing. The only complaint I have is that we had to leave. I highly recommend Fond Doux, and RENT A CAR! See the whole island, not just the tourist stuff. Saint Lucia is a magical place.

people were lovely room ok food very bad and minsicule amount often breakfast food would be gone when we arrived and not replenished disappointing Our taxi driver was terrific and served as a island guide We had to go to restaurants outside of resort to get adequate food

Liked the private cottages, personalized experience. Some maintenance and updates to cottages would be nice. Shower didn't always have hot water.

My kids and I loved the resort to every bit. We enjoyed every moment here. The staff are very attentive. The cottages are beautiful, clean and homey. Every cottage settles in a quite cosy part of the estate so that you have the privacy you need. And having to learn that the cottages are abandoned colonial buildings saved from around the island. How amazing is it! The estate itself is a heaven for kids. There are so much to explore. We enjoyed every activity the property offered, the staff are very acknowledged and we felt we have learnt so much from this trip.

My husband and I are spending our 20th wedding anniversary at Fond Doux. Coconut cottage is lovely! With its deck and private plunge pool. Perfect for de-stressing and decompressing. Jenny was phenomenal helping to plan and ensure the most amazing trip. Being able to lay in bed and look out at the canopy and hear the birds was so soothing. Everyone one working at the resort greeted us with a smile and made sure we had everything we needed.

My boyfriend and I absolutely loved our stay at Fond Doux Resort this week. Jenny and the rest of the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful - sorting out our Gros Piton hike and taxis around Soufrière. We loved the on site trail with views of petit piton and did both the plantation and chocolate tours on site. The tour guides were very knowledgeable!! The resort is beautiful and cottages well kept, loved our outdoor shower. Would absolutely recommend!!

A wonderfully peaceful retreat, a perfect place to escape and relax. The staff were friendly and helpful, always ready to help and to suggest places to visit. Food was expensive for what it was and always seemed to take an age for it to arrive at the table. This seems to be a local thing, not just at Fond Doux. The three swimming pools are small and more like plunge pools, not great if you are thinking of swimming. The historian tour of the fort across the road on the other side of the plantation is well worth a visit.

We had an amazing stay at the Fond Doux resort. It is beautifully located in the middle of a cacao plantation, each cottage is immersed in rainforest and surrounded by birds. The staff are all really lovely and helpful. The facilities and room might need an upgrade but the rooms were very clean and functional, we didn't need anything else. Nice breakfast in the morning too. We recommend to hire a car (4x4) as it's the best way to explore beaches and the island.
