A great place to stop after arriving via Brittany Ferries at Ouistreham/Caen. We were made to feel most welcome by Catherine and her husband. The bedroom was very comfortable and it was quiet considering the Autoroute is only a minute away. Our dinner was excellent and the young man who waited on table was so charming. Breakfast was also excellent. Everyone at Le Faisan Doré was charming….really, really nice people. We will stay again on our next French sojourn. Highly recommend.

De passage pour une nuit, nous sommes vraiment satisfait de cet établissement. De la sympathie des gérants au confort de notre chambre en passant par le petit déjeuner très copieux nous ne pouvons que recommander cet hôtel.

Cozy place to stay. Complete, neat and the food… the food is next level, it is just a trip through local France. If you want a nice, neat room and have the best food then you need to be in this hotel!!

Une belle demeure Normande très propre, bien entretenue. Le personnel est sympathique, c’est parfait !!! Le petit déjeuner est copieux, servi à table. Nous sommes loin des chaînes connues… Le restaurant doit être à la hauteur !! J’y reviendrai avec plaisir !

Around 10 years ago we stayed here on arrival in France late at night from the ferry. We liked the look of the place and breakfast was good so we planned to visit again, we finally made it! This time we didn't have a lte arrival and as it is some distance from the town it made sense to book half board. From the outside it doesn't look anything special but inside its very nice and the room was good. It also has a car park which is always an advantage. When we went down for dinner we were quite surprised by the menu and impressed with what was on offer. The food was excellent and service was very efficient and friendly. Drinks were a but pricey but we have seen worse. After a good night's sleep we were treated to a great breakfast too. When it was time to leave we wondered if there might be surcharges on top of the half board price for the dinner but no the price was as advertised. We enjoyed our stay very much and don't plan to wait another 10 years before returning

The restaurant is excellent but the hotel part is not finished. There was a narrow, dim hallway to get to the room with wires coming out of the walls and the ceiling. The room was small and spartan.

Endroit convenabke sur la route vers la Manche. Accueil professionnel. Chambre rénovée, salle de douche moderne. Café/thé disponibles dans la chambre. Parking et jardin calme. Restaurant au menu soigné, produits bio locaux. J'aurais préféré un petit déjeuner en style buffet, mais c'est un détail mineur - on doit remplir une fiche le soir avec ses préférences - pas si spontané pour le matin. Une bonne adresse, on y reviendra.
