Harmony Forest Cottages & Lake Side Lodge

Us and our two furrbabies stayed for 3 nights and the smell of the fresh air and the beautiful wildlife made it an amazing experience! The charming cottage was just the cherry on top! Will definitely be back one day!

Excellent place with excellent service. So peaceful and the spa is very relaxing. Loved that it's surrounded by nature. We almost made friend with a bandicoot who keeps coming back to spot every time. So cute. The place is truly what were looking for. Will definitely come back.

Absolutely gorgeous place. Secluded, picturesque and private. Just loved every second. Close to all that the wine region in Southwest of Western Australia has to offer. We will certainly be back again.

The wife and I stayed here for a week in October. We arrived in the dark which was a little difficult finding the cottage, even with directions. The cottages are stand alone surrounded with trees which block out any view of the other cottages which was great. The cottage had a couple of bedrooms, a decent kitchen and lounge area and a spa bath. The fire was a little difficult to start at first, mainly due to the fact the knob was out of alignment by 90 degrees. Once I figured that out it was easy to start. Although it was mid October the evenings were quite chilly so we didn't really spend a lot of time sitting outside. The grounds are pretty big and it is possible to do a couple of walks around the place. We managed to see Roos, Emus, ringnecks and Black Cockies in abundance. I would definitely recommend this place for a stay.

Beautiful cottage within the forest. Stylishly decorated and comfortable. Clean and tidy. Excellent instructions how to use everything and detailed cottage manual. Terrific reverse cycle air conditioning. Plenty of space inside and out. Unable to see other cottages from inside. Kangaroos everywhere! Gorgeous walking trails where I sighted a Kookaburra, Robin and a type of goose or duck (airborne). Abundance of photographic opportunities. Water delicious.

We had bush fire sweeping through the first day we checked in and we were evacuated urgently. But harmony managed the entire situation flawlessly, they find us another alternative quality accommodation in half an hour so we have a place to stay. The place they arranged is very decent matchable with the original accommodation at harmony although we still prefer harmony because we like to be in the forest, with that we can continue our trip. From this experience we can vouch that harmony is extremely reliable, professional and will not left you in the dust when something unexpected happen, we can see they also have a huge lodge for hosting large events, if you want someone to host your important event harmony is the one to go for a no hassle experience. Now for the accommodation, we only spent few hours in the cottage unfortunately because we were asked to evacuated and we were rushing through to the point we may have left some dishes unwashed, apologies to the owner if they are reading this! But everything has been lovely, the spa is extremely inviting overlooking the forest, there are heaps of privacy, fully equipped with everything you need like bath gel, shampoo etc like an oasis in the middle of the forest. An absolute gem of a place, if you want to have a good time make sure you put this quality place in your list.

What an amazing place. It is secluded with wonderful wildlife, walks and we can't rate it highly enough. We will only stay here in future. The Western ringtail possums visited each evening, a multitude of bird species said hello and was what we needed!! The cottage is spacious, the spa is great and we enjoyed it immensely!!

I booked 4 nights at Harmony Forest Cottages as a surprise for my partners 40th birthday. We have a 9 month old baby boy so I wanted somewhere that would be good for him too. I’d never stayed there before but going off the reviews and pics I felt at ease knowing it was going to be amazing. We had such a fun and relaxing time in our little cottage. Lorraine sorted a high chair and porta cot for bub and even organised a hamper with wines and chocolates etc to make it an even more special surprise for my partner. Although I have to admit I was mainly the one drinking the wines haha. The spa with my bubbles and a glass of red…ultimate relaxation. I recommend their Shiraz…deelishimo! The cottage had lots of big windows which I loved because we had the best views of nature all around us. The songs of birds were heard 24/7….just perfect. Fresh forest air is all you will be breathing out here. The drinking water is rain water so coming back to Perth after our trip I missed the taste of fresh rain water. We went on heaps of walks all around the property. Bubbas pram was easily able to handle all the gravel walking tracks available, a bit bumpy but no 4wding necessary haha. We enjoyed showing him all the kangaroos in the paddock a few minutes walk from our cottage. Apart from just enjoying being in our cottage we also did a few activities including a walk through Mammoth cave and a canoeing bush tucker tour. There’s so many things available to do close by and Margaret River is only about a 20 minute drive away. We loved our stay so much that my partner suggested we stay an extra night to which I was all for so ended up being a 5 night stay. We would’ve stayed even longer if we could but my partner had to go back to work…sad. Thanks for a wonderful stay in beautiful Harmony Forest. We will definitely be back! 😊

A beautiful location. We have just spent 4 nights in one of the chalets. Plenty of walk trails and great for spotlighting the possums. Our first impression of the chalet inside was that it was old and tired and not worth the $238 a night. The location makes up for the shortfall.
