TownePlace Suites Grand Rapids Airport

Was here for baseball tournament so this was where we had to stay. The best part about this hotel is the staff. Definitely some of the kindest people. However, they are understaffed and at times there is only one employee. So, that can make it a challenge if you need any type of assistance. The shared areas of the hotel such as hallways and lobby are not air conditioned and were extremely warm. We tried to hang out downstairs while our kids swam and it was unbearable. The warm halls mean the rooms are constantly battling to stay cool. The included breakfast was extremely limited and the warm options were inedible. The room definitely needed some maintenance. Overall, if you have to stay here, you’ll be ok. Just would never be my first choice. And definitely feel it was way over priced.

Great stay. Good customer service and everything was very clean.

The family above us was up and loud from 2 am till 5 am. I called the front desk at 2:30 am to ask if they could call the room and please ask them to be quiet. The man said that there was really nothing he could do because he didn’t know the room number. I told him it was directly above us and even told him the number. He still said there was nothing he could do. We continued to deal with it until 4:30 am when I called down again and asked if they could please call the room. He finally said yes he could, and the people quieted down right away. But by then, we had had almost 3 hours of no sleep. If he had dealt with the issue right away, I’d give five stars.

Everything was good except the breakfast was okay. The omelette had a powdery taste to it and toaster didn’t toast well. No bananas and oranges looked brownish
