After lots of research we booked the Ramnee Hotel to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We loved the hotel, especially the location, and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. We enjoyed the hearty full Scottish breakfast before we set off exploring the area. Thank you for making our weekend so special. Will definitely be back!

A memorable stay in Forres. Stuart and Chris were very welcoming hosts. My room had a lovely view, was clean and spacious. Large and comfortable bed meant a good night's rest throughout my stay. The food was superb and well presented with good wine pairing options. The bar has a generous selection of local whisky. The experience was just immaculate and exactly what you want for a getaway in the highlands. Super.

Our experience at Ramnee Hotel was fantastic. Thanks to its prime location, comfortable accommodation, excellent service and great facilities. The service is impeccable, with staff going above and beyond to meet the needs of guests. The staff handle everything efficiently and with a smile. Room service is prompt, and the restaurant offers delicious meals with a diverse menu to suit all tastes. The level of service at Ramnee Hotel is truly outstanding. The rooms are spacious, clean and well-appointed, providing a comfortable stay for guests. The beds are particularly comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep after a long day of sightseeing. The staff are exceptional, providing a really great service with a friendly and welcoming attitude. From the moment of check-in to departure, guests are made to feel valued and well taken care of. The housekeeping staff also deserve praise for their attention to detail and maintaining the cleanliness of the rooms. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Forres.

Very much enjoyed my stay at the Ramnee, and good to come back! I highly recommend this warm, hospitable hotel. The staff were friendly, the room clean, the evening meal very good, as was the breakfast with the hot plate and unlimited coffee. Can’t fault it.

What a hospitable place! We received a warm and friendly welcome from the proprietors. This is a charming and unspoilt old hotel, with welcoming public spaces - gorgeous tartan carpeted bar - and coffee room. The food and drink was excellent and we are given to understand that some the produce is grown by the hotel itself, for example in a parsnip soup. We will certainly go again.

"Classic Room" 209 was anything but. Filthy, the room needed a good clean. Windows dirty. All the paintwork was chipped, chair had a split on the back corner. The divan base was badly stained. Breakfast was poor, black pudding and haggis had been cut so thinly when it was cooked it fell to pieces, cold beans and mushrooms.

Beautiful property, comfortable rooms. Nice little pub and restaurant. Great location - can walk into the downtown.
