Had a lovely stay in a superior room with lovely views out to the Firth. The rooms were a little bit jaded but clean and comfortable, staff were friendly and helpful.

A good stay at this Nairn hotel. It was further from Inverness than we expected but that was no big problem as Nairn is such a nice little town to explore so the hotel ended up being perfect. Clean, good service and with a welcoming smile from a great reception desk. It is a bit creaky but once everyone had settled down I had a decent sleep and the breakfast was excellent. Thank you.

My first impression was good although the hotel is a bit tired. Tea/ coffee making facilities but no biscuits. The room was lovely until I had to use the toilet. When I lifted the seat there was a large streak of excrement stuck to the wall of the toilet. I phoned and complained, they came and cleaned it. No apology at that point. The next day there was biscuits put in our room. This made me wonder if our room had been checked before we went into it. I decided I was going to complain about these thing to the manager. When I did he apologised, blamed the staff and asked me in a derogatory manner " what do you want" as if I was complaing so I could benefit out of the situation. Although I feel some kind of complimentary offer should have been given without being asked. We never received as much as a complimentary drink. Needless to say, I won't be back.

Beautiful place within walking distance of the beach and North Sea. Highland cows nearby. Really enjoyed staying here! We were on a CIE Tour so just stopped for one night. I don't know what else to say about it but this is making me use two hundred words.

The Muthu Newton Hotel is just off the A96 Inverness Road with a long driveway to the hotel. It is a relatively short walk from the main town of Nairn if you're fit and able. We were allocated a room in the Courtyard, which is separate from the main building and so not privvy to experience the “hotel life". Our room was very spacious and provided everything we required. The unusually pulsating shower and sink in the en suite was quite loud, which may have alerted our neighbouring room occupants to our ablution routine, as it did with us when they showered two hours before our morning alarm was due to wake us. Overall, our experience was an enjoyable one and what we had hoped for when booking.

We were here for a wedding and the service and food were excellent. The only thing that let the hotel down was that everything had to be paid by card and the card machines were not always working/connecting to the Wi-Fi, resulting in a long wait for drinks at the bar.
