We had a great stay at the Rydges.
We arrived earlier than normal check in time and they accommodated us with little wait time.
Room was clean and tidy nice hot showers as were from WA it was -1 when we arrived.
No complaints front desk staff were super friendly and helped with and questions we asked regarding places to go and see while here on our short stay.
Would stay again, definitely recommend.

Firstly the musk scent in the hotel was overpowering and took my breath away the moment I walked in the door. The receptionist was very cold and unwelcoming, it was also bizarre that she tried to find a room for a mixed race couple which had 2 separate beds and had assumed they weren't together. The only positive I have is that the beds were super comfy. Otherwise the room was cold and uninviting. The toilet is in the way of the shower and water leaked everywhere in the bathroom. This would explain the existing water damage to the walls. Lastly the breakfast was disgraceful. Very limited variety, food was cold, coffee was cold, staff were impossible to find to ask for poached eggs and the other guests in the restaurant were running riot and took my chair from me when I went to get another drink.
