Hotel is not up to normal Hampton standards. Walked in to see a big black bucket in the middle of the hallway with a yellow “ WET FLOOR” sign, with water dripping from above. The pool is just beyond the lobby & you can smell musty pool as you enter. Booked a handicap accessible room and it was not any larger than a normal room which made it hard to get around with a walker. The roll in shower is up an incline & the floor of the shower is concave. Never saw anything like it! Most concerning was when I moved the bathroom garbage can, I discovered a piece of pink hard candy on the floor in a puddle of water. Obviously the floor was not mopped!

When we got in the room the garbage in the bathroom was not emptied, there was leftover fish in the fridge, the fridge door didn’t stay shut even with nothing in it, and the curtain on the window was broken. Also as soon as you walked in the hotel the chlorine smell was so strong we got a headache. I would never stay here again. I didn’t get a picture of the garbage or food left in fridge but I did include the pictures of the fridge door and curtain.

I don’t know why but when I been booking thru ******* lately I’ve been getting handicap rooms. Not happy about this!!!!

Had to switch rooms had hair in 1 bed and grass in they other bed. The cleanliness of hotel was not good at all. The toilet was not cleaned. I had to wipe it down with clorox wipes. At this point i refuse to tell the front destk attended anything else. I was very disappointed!!

My family wanted a little get a way in this cold weather it was a very clean hotel; pool was a little cold, but kids enjoyed it, we were a little disappointed no waffles in the morning, but we survived. Overall a very nice stay. ordered pizza from Pizza Factor it was awesome.

This gets a 2 for the wonderful people at the front desk and the great breakfast. Besides that it’s an old old hotel and it shows … or maybe it was just our room. Room 202 had a very weird smell that hit you in the face whenever you walked in. It also had a fan in the bathroom that sounded like an airplane in the hanger with the door closed. My ears may never recover. The hotel is doing the best the can with what they have and may we got the worst room since it was full every night night, but with my personal experience I can’t recommend it.

Evening staff was nice. Morning staff was rude and on a power trip. I go to Decatur for business often and will never be back here.

We found bed bugs in the room we stayed for 3 nights and when we took a picture of the bed bugs and showed it to the front desk worker they changed your room and then was told we would get a refund when the refund never came we contacted the hotel then we was told they would only refund us for only one night

I was charged a 5 dollar “parking” fee because I booked through Orbitz?? Never have I paid this. But she insisted and wouldn’t refund my charge. Seems like a money grab to me. Also the 50 dollar “incidental” deposit is ridiculous for this property in the condition that it is.
