This is perfect example of a florida beach hotel! The persona of this place is a perfect southwest florida feel. Very well kept. The beds are the best! If you ate looking for the quieter side to The beach this is the perfect place!

We loved our stay here. Michelle was super helpful and friendly. Our room was clean and spacious. We could also use wagons, chairs and umbrellas to take to the beach, entrance right across the street. It's located on the quieter end of Fort Myers Beach, but we enjoyed it. There was also a trolley with a stop right outside the place. If we make it back to FMB, we would stay here!

Amazing room, super friendly and helpful manager, and great location. Wagons and chairs to take to the beach, which located just across the street. Nice pool open all the time. Will definitely visit again the next time I’m in the Ft Myers area.

My wife and I stayed at Hide Away Village for two nights on quick weekend get away. We were very impressed with cleanliness and family nature of motel. The property and rooms are very cute. Manager was very helpful. Property is right across from public access beach. The property is located mid island far from chaos of north part of island and it’s traffic. Great value overall. We will be back.

We had a great 5-night stay here for our family vacation. Hideaway Village is about two-thirds of the way down the island so it is away from the crowds on the northern half of Fort Myers Beach. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay! Amenities: •90-second walk to the beach + 90-second walk to reach shoreline (half a block south and cross street) •very responsive staff •quiet atmosphere •beach chairs & wagons •sand toys (buckets & sand molds) •two beach towels per room •on-site laundry ($1.50 per wash/dry) •window air conditioner •covered picnic area and charcoal grills •off-street parking •pool (3-6 ft. deep) •ice machine •wifi & cable TV •shampoo, conditioner and soap •full kitchens (i.e. oven, stove, microwave, utensils, coffee maker, pans, dish towels, etc.) •outdoor showers to wash off sand

I don’t know where the pictures on Trip Advisor are coming from; our room at Hideaway Village was small to the point of being cramped. It did have a kitchenette, i.e., a small refrigerator and a microwave, but, again, it was so small it was hard to get around the room. Further, we could hear our upstairs neighbors walking around at ridiculously early hours of the morning and, often, very late at night. That having been noted, the place was clean, except for the mat in the bathtub/shower, which was GROSS; we should have said something so we share some of the blame for that. We were closer to the beach than some of the resorts on the “beach side” of Estero, maybe a three-minute walk. There were plenty of chairs, noodles, and the like for use on the beach. The grounds were spartan, but clean and well-maintained, especially the pool and the barbecue area. Parking was never an issue. Bobby and the staff were wonderful; they could not have been more friendly and helpful. Finally, by Ft. Myers Beach standards, the place is a bargain, but bear in mind that “by Ft. Myers standards” is the operative phase here; the prices on Ft. Myers Beach have skyrocketed over the last year, so no place is an actual bargain. If you are looking for a luxury hotel, or anything even approaching one, you will be disappointed by Hideaway Village. However, if you want a place that is clean and reasonably comfortable, close to the beach, on the south end of Ft. Myers Beach, and hence away from the insanity on much of the north end of the Island, and close to restaurants, stores, etc., and don’t want to pay the outrageous prices being asked, and received, by other resorts on Ft. Fort Myers Beach, the Hideaway Village might be the place for you. We would stay here again, but only if we got a larger room, preferably on the second floor.

This was my second visit to this property in the past year. Most of the rooms have been recently updated with new flooring, fixtures, and walk-in showers. The rooms are not huge, but the price is not huge either, when compared with most of the other properties on Fort Myers Beach. The location is great, just across the street from the beautiful beach, and there are restaurants and a grocery store within walking distance, as well. I enjoyed the laid back beachy vibe and the pool area is nice and clean. I would definitely stay here again!

Although clean and cheerfully decorated, our room (32) was dark, damp and not at all as pictured. We were not anticipating the Ritz but we were disappointed that we could not open curtains or windows to get daylight and other lighting was inadequate. The air conditioner was so noisy we had headaches and the dampness meant that our towels never dried. Thankfully we spent more time away from the room and it was close to beach access. On the plus side, the place was clean, the beach chairs and umbrellas provided a nice touch. Perhaps other rooms had more light and less damp? Might be good for families or others.

Booked this place for a last minute trip since nothing else in price range was available. Not a bad place however extremely overpriced for what it is. Our stay was unfortunately marred by the existence of a terrible smell in the room from the moment we stepped in until we left 2 days later. Smell was a mixture of burnt rubber with a faint hint of human feces. Management suggested nothing but opening the window which did not stay open for more than 5 minutes. Nonetheless the smell persisted. There are nice amenities like free beach chairs and the place was pretty clean. However way overpriced for what it is, a motel on the side of the road.
