Motel 6 Fort Stockton, TX

Stayed one night while on the road. The room was prepaid (I had redeemed points), however upon arrival they asked for a credit card "for incidentals". The property is old and dated. Quiet location with no street noise, but they allow pets and I could hear dogs barking in the rooms nearby. The room was dated with a badly stained couch and mismatched furniture. There was a chair but no desk (unlike stated in the reservation); instead, there was a pretty useless low coffee table. Amenities included mini-fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Plenty of power outlets. Comfortable bed and pillows. Shower with good water pressure. Wifi worked well. Plenty of parking. Breakfast was included, but by 09:00 (breakfast time ended at 09:30) there was hardly anything left, and the pancake machine wasn't working. Upon departure, I didn't ask for a receipt since the room was prepaid. However, a couple of days after my stay I noticed that my credit card had been charged the full price. I called the property shortly after 09:00 and was told that "it wasn't a good time to call" (sic) because they were busy with breakfast. Eventually they checked and said it had been an error and the charge will be reversed. I'm still waiting for the refund.

I traveled for about 5 hours. Stoped at this motel for a room. This is my 2nd time staying here. I would have much rather had a bottom floor considering that half of the motel was empty but was told I had to ask when booking online and that I may not be able to get receive it either way. . So kinda a con for me. 2ndly the last time I stayed a fridge was available but this time there was not a fridge in the room. I travel with food and drinks so that was another con. Lastly the water took so long to get hot before showering. I want to say about a good 10 mins. I will not be staying here again.

Very terrible service especially from check in to check out…. I’m driving cross country for work and needed to stop for me and my families safety. I waited 30 mins to check in after I already booked the room due to no staff being on property… went into the room and there was trash under the bed, shower was leaking terribly and front door does not completely close. Needed an additional towel to “mop” up the water on the bathroom floor froo ok m the leaky shower, but again no one at front desk with the same sign up …did not want to wait an additional 30 minutes just for a towel so I went and dug into my moving truck to grab a personal towel to mop up the floor. Was hoping to get coffee and front office was locked up with the sign still up, I’m very disappointed only good thing about this location is the distance from the I 10.

Terrible fromt desk service. Noone is is ever present at the desk when you need them to be.

Motel 6 was never intended to be Ritz Carlton, so FIVE STARS. Friendly staff, safe and quiet. I will stay there again next time I’m in the Fort Stockton area
