Considering the price of this place, we were both disappointed with the quality of the stay. The bed was pushed up against the wall so both sides of the bed were not accessible unless you climbed over each other. The 'double' room was barely passable as a single. There was penny pinching going on everywhere with this property to the zero sound insulation between the us and the room next door (we could hear them having a pee and we knew that one of the guys in the room next door was called Rich and was having marital difficulties, but had a nice walk out that day). They weren't loud, but they may as well have been in the same room as us! The breakfast was cheap quality items, the coffee in the rooms was in mason jars but was just cheap Tesco value (or equivalent). I recognise cheap instant coffee - it's dreadful. The toilet paper was also the cheapest they could find. Considering the price - the most expensive on the week long trip we did, it was the 2nd worst we stayed in. The view from the garden was great, right on the shore of Loch Linnie, but the weather put pay to us enjoying any time outside at this place. I would only come back here if there was a severe shortage of places to stay in the area.

Bij aankomst direct een vragenlijst voor het ontbijt. Dus we dachten dat dat dik in orde was. Viel tegen.

A lovely property just about 3 miles outside Fort William on the main road. There was parking on site which was great. The room was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Lovely host and great overall. Breakfast was available and the house was right on the water so lovely views.

The rooms are fairly large and nicely decorated. Very quiet too. The owner is very kind. The location is great for Glencoe area. The bonus is the yard! It’s large with lake behind it. We enjoyed the sunset while our son looked at rocks and crabs on the beach.

Great B&B. Nice room and the owners are lovely and friendly. There’s plenty parking and great views of the loch. You have to order breakfast day prior which we weren’t too keen on as we’d prefer to choose on the morning and it would be nice to have a bit more variety to the breakfast menu with some more options such as poached eggs, haggis etc and maybe some pastries. Other than that everything was excellent and we would definitely stay again.

Very comfortable beds but very small bathroom. Ok for one night stay but would not like to stay longer. Amazing views.

I had the unique experience of staying in 2 rooms in one stay. The first good point is that he found is rooms after had, for some reason, booked me for 2023 and I hadn't realised (I made a mock booking after and it automatically gave me 2023 so something's wrong there). Anyway, he gave us a room for one night and another room for the other 2. The first room was tiny, just enough room for us and our luggage, it had a beautiful veranda looking off to the mountains and, if it hadn't rained heavily, would have been nice to sit out. However, I thought the bed was awful and had a terrible night's sleep, the pillows were rock hard as was the mattress. The second room we second room we stayed in was bigger as it was a triple room but overlooked the car park. In this room you could hear everything from the room above, the creaking floorboards and the people talking. My night's sleep was quite good, the mattress was much better. The water was brown, but my wife (who's Scottish) told me it's the Highland peat that colours it so, it may not look great, but it's safe. The breakfast was a choice of Scottish breakfast or continental and you had to make your choices of which, tea or coffee, orange juice or apple and what time, this may seem a little narrow of a choice for some and I don't know if they do vegetarian cooked brekkie. I think this was because he ran the place on his own cause I never saw anyone else and only saw him at breakfast. The Scottish breakfast was nice but was served in a dining room that was a tiny conservatory with 3 tables crammed close together and a little claustrophobic. It's close to Fort William but far enough out to capture the beauty of the Highlands. It was a clean place with bottled water and tea making facilities in the room. So, it was a mixed bag. Hope that helps.

Pros - Lovely views of Loche Linnhe - Quick, easy check in - Choice of a full Scottish or continental breakfast (no vegetarian option for full) - Affordable - On site parking available - Room clean and adequately sized Cons - No hand wash available in bathroom - Wifi did not work from details that were provided - Toilet had urine and faecal stains from previous guests - Yellow tap water from bathroom sink - Room is next to a 60mph road so sleep was interrupted from passing cars
