The Calile Hotel

Stayed here for 3 nights and had a fantastic time! The hotel location is perfect and situated amongst the shops and restaurants of James street. Staff were all super helpful, and plentiful. You never had to look far to find someone to help you. The rooms are beautiful, love the European architecture. We had a twin room, and we had plenty of space with a table. Bathroom was beautiful, I would have preferred a shower door as I was staying with a family member so it was a tad awkward using the bathroom if someone was in the shower. Plenty of space though! Appreciated all the bench space. Pool area was wonderful, it wasn’t so busy when we visited, again staff super helpful. We ate at Hellenika for a light lunch, we had Greek salad, dip with pita and 2 drinks, this was fairly expensive at $100, compared to dinner at all the other any day restaurants this was very pricey for the limited selection we had. Mini bar service could have been better, I had to call each day to ask that the coffee pods be replenished as this was never done automatically. The friends of calile discount is excellent! We saved so much money as we shopped quite a lot, this is super worthwhile and valuable. Soundproofing between rooms is good, however not between rooms and the hallways. We had weddings over our stay and each night I heard people loud and drunk carrying on in the hallways which woke me up. Overall we had a very good stay, some minor improvements to take this to an excellent rating.

Friendly and efficient staff, excellent amenities and dining facilities within the hotel. Particularly enjoyed SK Steak and Oysters. We will definitely be back

I love everything about The Calile Hotel. The location, the environment, the rooms, facilities and staff, all of whom have a consistently gracious, charming and friendly approach to all things. I will always do everything I can to stay at The Calile when visiting Brisbane.

We stayed for 4 days with 10 friends for a birthday celebration and we couldn't have asked for a better way to celebrate. The hotel, staff, location, restaurants, shops, day spa were all 5 star and amazing. We loved every thing that was on offer and loved how the hotel was very Bougie but yet you still felt relaxed. This was our first stay and will definitely return again soon.

Our first visit to The Calile Hotel was wonderful. All of the staff that we interacted with were helpful and kind. We booked both an Essential King Room & an Urban Terrace King Room for our family & they were spacious and relaxing. We also really liked the Library Room at the Hotel.

Trendy hotel in trendy Fortitude valley. Two night stay on a brief tourist stop in Brisbane. We were unaware of the QLD Labour Day holiday which made for a very busy couple of days with lots of visitors / families in the area. All hotel staff we encountered were very friendly, helpful and cheerful. Service by hotel staff was excellent. By example, on our second night when we asked to book a taxi we were offered a transfer by the hotel shuttle to our dinner restaurant in Southbank. Perhaps shuttle is not the right word for a BMW iX electric. Architecturally the hotel is brilliant. Terrazzo tile in common areas, lots of wood accents, brass fitting and plants. This theme continues in the rooms. Room was very well equipped, spacious and quiet. Had the most amazing rain shower I've ever experienced! I'd return to the hotel simply for the rain shower. Our room had a balcony (very private) and excellent black out curtains. Had lunch and dinner in the lobby bar the first day after not finding anything else close by we were happy with. Food was good, prices about as expected for the area. Minor service issue at dinner that was fixed quickly and to our entire satisfaction. The only negative for me, and hence the 4 not 5 star review, is the bathroom design. The bathroom is separated from the bedroom by sliding panels. Even when fully closed, there are opening on either side between the bedroom and the bathroom. Additionally, the dividing wall does not extend to the ceiling - it is open to the bedroom area above the mirrors. This means if you get up in the night you either disturb your partner by turning the light on or by stumbling around in the dark. I did both. There is a separate, enclosed toilet. All in all an enjoyable stay is a very good hotel. We will return.

Service was above & beyond. The entire stay was faultless from food to comfort & service. Very special place we will be back again
